Woman, I must say, you haven't disappointed me. I admit, my hands have been anything but idle.

But,

What is this I hear about you summoning my 'kouhais', as you so elegantly put it?

The Princess of Gehenna, I do not mind. She's powerful and I don't mind putting her dragons to exceptionally good use. The Messiah...[A long and disturbing sigh.].

But Mister Arrogant himself? No thank you. Don't even try finding him for me. I really do not need him.

Why don't you make yourself useful and find those I can actually have good use for. My seven satans. I don't mind having the Worthless one there either.

I know my human self needs an easier time paying rent, but your manner of solving the issue disturbs me greatly.

[ No, no way. She didn't want to. To save her people, she had to, and she knew that. To protect Setsuna too. It was all because of her obligations that she would even agree to this. There was nothing there for her. She was a sacrificial bride from the start. She couldn't possibly imagine if it actually was reality. How would she be able to endure such a cold hearted bastard that cared for little in the world? Lucifer was scary--frightening even. She wouldn't be able to bear it, but he was right, she would do it for those reasons. Her people, and for Setsuna. She couldn't watch him die. [For all the strength the princess of Gehenna had, she still had a heart. Hence she was only an evil and not one of the more pure demon lords beneath her land of reign. She had a heart that was capable of laughing, loving and summoning great and endearing emotions. But that heart was her downfall. It was the reason why she can be easily manipulated by others. Unfortunately, right now only Lucifer knew about it. But one day, many will know about it and use it against her.]

[ That's the only way she knows how to lead. Her people respected and loved her for her kindness and endearment. Her emotions were her strength. How could she abandon them and be cold hearted and ruthless? That's not possible. That wasn't the way you're suppose to rule others. People following her out of respect was much better than leading by fear. Lucifer was a fearful person, one who was heartless to the core. ]

[ She flinched. Fucking hate him so much right now. ]

[ She's not gracing his ass with an answer. It's obvious what choice she would make given the circumstances. ]

[An important thing everyone should remember is the fact that Lucifer has Seven Satans eating at the palm of his hands. A lot of them hate him, if not thoroughly despising him(with the exception of Hatter), and yet they obey him unconditionally. Because he was a 'people person'. Rather, he knows how to use their weaknesses, their hunger, their grief and their craving to his advantage. Power aside, he knew how to manipulate people. And he knew all too well how to manipulate the young Princess.]

Hence you narrowed the choices to a more acceptable one. There's always so much evil we can live with in our lives, and always a single thing that we will hold onto dearly, no matter what. Yours is Setsuna.

[ Kurai knew. She heard the whispers of the underworld when she was there. She was almost killed several times and almost soiled. In the end, Arakune was the person that paid the price for her. Kurai couldn't forget it. She couldn't forget someone who had always been there for her-- not as a sister or a cousin, but her brother.

Arakune was her brother and she never got to properly treat him as such. She hated her weakness but she was not shameful of her own weakness. It made her strong and it gave her a purpose, but on the contrary, her weakness was indeed a tool to be used against her and those around her. ]

Shut up! I don't need to hear it from you! What do you know! Do you even have feelings anymore?! How could you!

[Kurai could deny it all she wants, but in the end, she knew that her path led to darker horizons. Lucifer knew that the path to evil and darkness were always paved with good intentions. It didn't help Kurai either that she had her emotions intact, unlike those who lived in the lower circles.]

What are feelings?

Does it resemble that desperate emotion you have towards Setsuna?

[ It was inevitable if someone like Lucifer had most of the control over the world that many people were residing in. There weren't enough people to stop him, and they weren't strong enough to do that either. Kurai wouldn't be able to do much against Lucifer. She clenched her fists, seeming ticked off at his responses. ]

Are you really incapable of understanding anymore?! You're just a heartless bastard now aren't you?

Stop talking about Setsuna!

[Yet, he seemed unfazed. In fact, he looked more amused than ever. In the long run, Kurai would consider it a blessing that she served him instead of those unfeeling bastards who killed her entire family.]

[Then he smiles.]

I'm not. Can you see how happy I am right now? How can someone capable of happiness be so, 'heartless'?

Don't worry. I'll make sure to send Setsuna some love in return for your obedience. Don't fret.

[ Blessing?! No way. He wasn't much different form those who had taken her family. They were out for blood and Lucifer was out for power. The only reason why she was useful was because she had the power of the Oracle Dragons, something that only the chosen ones of her family were able to do. ]

It's a twisted kind of happiness, asshole. You would be happy because you're forcing someone to obey your whims.

[ She narrowed her eyes. ]

I don't want you to send anything to Setsuna, it might be rigged or worse. Just keep your words and remember I'm not doing it for you!

[ She snapped. ]
