voicetesting. (doga: FFXIV, with FFIII stuff too!)
I am pleased you have come to this decision.
...You ask me if I miss her?
I do. Despite being a clone, I can feel.
But allow me to put your fears at ease. 'Tis no easy thing, to exist without Unei. There is no small feeling of being incomplete without her at my side. But we exist, as a pair, in that world for purpose. I cannot fulfill that purpose without her, as I cannot fulfill it here with you, away from that world. Her absence is not crippling, under these circumstances... if only because of these circumstances.
I consent to continue, if you do.

[Sure, he's only 1/3 of the missing NOAH members, but still. Rhela grins warmly at him in greeting.]

[He's a little upset(?) at the annulment going so badly. Being distracted didn't help, his distraction meant he had been pulled in first. Yet even without Nero making all that noise... Thier blood still failed.]

Well, uhm, now that you're here, maybe your mun'll send you off to a game! They're fun places. Even if some of them look a little scary.

[It's unspoken, but Unei deserves a damn sight more than her purpose doomed to failure. Especially since it was his fault for being snared. She only reached for him.
As for Nero. He does not like Nero. Be it taking aetherical readings on that device, which to someone of Allag, is more of a child's toy than an actual scientific instrument, Cid's distrust of him, or even the way he's been looking at both Doga and Unei the entire time like they're every nameday present he's ever had, just. bad feeling about him. Extremely bad.
...But he doesn't wish him harm. Even if it was his own greed that got him a one-way trip to the world of darkness and nothing else. Harm awaits him there. A great deal of it.]
I hope that, as well. I am concerned that I might have problems with the application process. I am merely a clone, after all.

[Inspirational speech incoming? Yup. Rhela reaches over to hold one of Doga's hands between her own. The look she gives him is unwavering. Unflinching. Nero be damned, Allag be damned, Doga is a friend. He deserves the same respect she gives all of her friends.]
Unei is Unei, just like Doga is Doga. There's no one else like you two in all of Eorzea. And you feel! I don't care about how you came into the world; what matters is that you're one-of-a-kind. So don't talk like you don't matter! You are Doga. You matter.

[Hand taken and inspirational speech heard, it feels almost a little wrong to inform Rhela that he meant it more from a backstory and personality on an application form point of view. Still, what she's doing is kind.]
... You are correct.
[And!]
If I may ask, are you situated anywhere?

Doga!
[she's clearly pleased to see him, though her ears droop for just a moment for Unei's sake.]
Well- perhaps we shall see her here as well. [after all, if Doga's here, why shouldn't Unei appear as well? it might not make a difference, but… at least she'd be here.] And I am glad to see you well.

Hello, K'pandolu. I regret having worried you. I hope that you and your comrades were able to escape Syrcus Tower with no further incident.
[Andyes, Unei.]
Pray spare my ramblings no thought. I am just... unaccustomed to being without her.
[It's weird. Very weird. Andyeeeep, he's worried about her.]

Nero… maybe a little bit. But not very much.] We did- it seemed as though whatever power the Emperor contracted with could not keep a hold of its minions after the portal had closed. [Or perhaps simply relinquished the power supporting them- though that's not quite as positive a thought as she'd like.]I see. I think I understand, a little. [she was a fairly independent child, and her immediate family is still back at home, to the best of her knowledge, but… she thinks she can imagine, a little. It was certainly strange to come to a city without anyone she knew- but she went to the Guilds straight after, it hardly counts. As far as she sees it, at least.] I shall hope that you do not have to become too accustomed to being without her, all the same.
Hey look more adventurers!
[Castor may lack the ears and tail of the Miquo'te, but her face is no less expressive. She seems to be at once relieved, and increasingly apologetic.]
I've not seen Unei. I...I'm sorry.
oh man I am so sorry this is late DW issues got me and I can only get on DW with a vpn :(
Perhaps the past few thousand years in hope, with purpose, has been wasted due to that oversight...]
I am glad that is the case. [Regarding their escape, anyway.] Should the portal have shut behind us, the voidsent clones and the controllers link should have been severed, and they would cease to function.
[And that is kind. He's not used to kindness - not quite used to this world and certainly not used to the thought of someone as powerful as K'pandolu showing any form of concern. As such, there's a long pause. His words are simple, but they are heartfelt.]
... I hope so, as well.
more adventurers are always welcome! ♥ ESPECIALLY cute highlanders oh my she's a pretty one
[Really if there's anyone that should be apologetic, it's him! Or at least he feels that way. Of course he does. Castor only came along on this adventure as someone that really would out of the goodness of her heart help seal all of the cray within the Crystal Tower and the void from the world.
And almost got killed in the process. What for? Nothing, incidentally. In his eyes, he and Unei had one job. That they couldn't manage.
He glances toward the woman with the hint of curiosity upon his features, though perhaps it's simple manners which make him know better to ask why she looks quite so sorry.]
...No. It- It is all right. Please do not worry. If I continue to look for her, I might find that her existence might have been spared somehow, as well.
[And.]
I am glad that you managed to get out of Syrcus Tower in good health.
[And of course he is! That's enough comfort. For now.]
o-oh .///////.
Cid and the others in NOAH are working to pierce the void. We'll not abandon you to that fate. I'll not abandon you.
[What's unspoken is how much she feels this is her fault. For not telling Nero to shove it. For being crippled by an ill-timed echo. For not paying enough attention to Doga and Unei themselves.]
no worries!
[with a nod] That was exactly what it looked like. I'm sure that's what happened. And of course it's safer that way… [but Doga and Unei are still on the other side of it. So that's a bit of a problem- not that she doesn't have faith Cid and the others can't sort it out somehow, but she's at something of a loss for ideas.]
[she just thinks it's a little odd that he pauses that long, but- maybe it's just something he does. They haven't really known each other that long. She means it all the same.]
If I hear word of her- or see her myself- I will be sure to tell you as soon as I can. [firm nod] For now… what do you think you'll do?
