Can you see how giddy he is? People talk about the Hero of Time like he's an amazing hero and pretty dang cool and stuff; the fact that Link could MEET this guy is pretty dang awesome. It's enough excitement for him to forget the other, sadder half of the legend for a moment. ]

Partially in his quest for finding the power to take down Ganon and save Aryll, partially because he can't say no to helping someone in need. It's virtually impossible for him. He's pulled off a lot of feats, but he's typically a bit modest about it. ]
Come to think of it, only now is he able to really describe it. He never really left Outset until the pirates came along and Aryll was kidnapped. Now that he's traveled a bit, he has busier, far more varied islands to compare it to. ]
It's kinda quiet. There's some woods on the mountain behind my house. Grandma says fairies live there. There's a lookout tower near Mister Mesa's house. And Miss Rose has a pig pen near my house...

There's this old tradition where you dress up like the Hero on your birthday when you get old enough. We don't do a whole lotta other stuff, though. And monsters come out at night now.
