Forever Reunions and Nostalgia
Oh, I see how it is.
Intending to make up for lost time? I'm not very easy to satisfy.
I should be asking for rupee compensation by this point.
So how many rupees am I worth?

...
Oh, my, you're such a beautiful creature!

But still, hmmm... you're looking like your mun might need a loan or three, if I do say so myself!

I expect a giant wallet sometime in the near future.

Nice places to go, nice people to talk to... though I guess the kinds of games around lately are kind of hit-and-miss in those departments. Lots of dangerous stuff to get into these days, yeah?
no subject
Some people would turn away from danger, whereas I think if you know how to approach it, it could be a little entertaining. It just takes a little creativity.

[Or, erm, fancily underdressed. My, my!]

[He chuckles nervously, pulling back his hat a bit. Man, if he'd pulled something like that with Hilda way back when they'd met, it wouldn't have been pretty...]

Are you used to formal princesses then, boy?
no subject
You could say that! She's a well-meaning girl, but... intense, you know? A little too intense, sometimes, but that probably can't be helped with the way things are.
no subject
Speaking of. Are you a knight in service to her, perhaps?
no subject
[A good deal of admiration in that comment, there. Something more, perhaps.
He smiles sheepishly at her question, though.]
Oh! Oh, uh... no, nothing so important-sounding! I'm a merchant by trade, you see, and not much of a fighter, so I suppose you could just call me an old friend of hers. We actually ended up borrowing another guy to do most of the knightly stuff lately, as it turns out...
no subject
Is that so. I recall borrowing a boy to do one or two odd jobs for me, as well. Seems that's a thing all princesses have in common. [Because even Zelda's done that. No shame in admitting you need a little help. Usually. Unless you're Midna.]
no subject
But hey, learning from example, right? I might even take up the hero business sometime in the future! I mean, if my princess needs me to. Eheh.

I am happy they can't seem to forget you, no matter the lapses in time, though. No one should be forgotten.

You seem a little... bright-eyed and bushy-tailed if you don't mind my saying so, Princess.
[1/2]
[2/2]
I'm no princess, though.
Re: [2/2]
You want to go somewhere with a forest, Princess who isn't actually a princess. There are dangerous things in forests. You could get hurt. And if you are not a princess, then what are you calling yourself? You look like someone I know.
no subject
There seem to be dangerous things everywhere, but like I told my mun, I'll be really careful. I don't want anyone to have to get hurt because of me, but I want to see the world. ( Her arms stretch to either side of her.) Not just the "safe" areas of it.
I'm Zelda! Just Zelda. What's your name?
no subject
[Midna taps the tip of her nose.]
A Zelda who isn't a princess, but has a desire to see the world. Since you so kindly asked, my name is Midna. I knew a Zelda once. Looked a bit like you, she did. Except she was a princess.
no subject
Good. I'd like to see what you do with as many ruppies as your mun owes you! Do I get a hint?
It's great to meet you, Midna. ( Her brows knit briefly. ) I'm sorry I'm not the Zelda you knew from before. Were you close? I've never actually met a princess before.
no subject
It is of no grand consequence. That Princess... I'm sure she remembers me just as well as I remember her. You could say that she was closer to me than anyone else has ever been. [Soulmates?] She was quiet and modest. Not as bright-eyed as you.
no subject
I keep glancing over my shoulder, half expecting him to be there. But I know he's safe, and he will be there when I return. They all will, and maybe I will be a little stronger.
( Suddenly her lips are pursed, her hands returning to her hips. ) Then it is of consequence; she's important! She sounds wonderful, like the kind of princess that comes from story books. How did you meet? ( Her eyes are indeed bright, this time with curiosity. )
no subject
Talks of Princess Zelda, however, give birth to a kind of nostalgia she hasn't experienced in what feels like eons.]
Mm... By accident, I think. An accident with intention. She and a boy saved my people and my kingdom. [And her.]
no subject
She is quiet, modest, and saves kingdoms? ( Her head tilts, the smile returning to her lips. ) Your princess reminds me a lot of the great goddess Hylia, or, well, ( because she is still adjusting to the fact that she and Hylia are one in the same ) at least how she is portrayed in the legends. I'm glad that your kingdom is safe.
And more than anything, I hope you find your Princess here.
no subject
Still admires.]
The goddess Hylia. [That's eerily similar if she's ever heard it before. There are tales of plenty of gods and even before that, the three goddesses. Who's to say there isn't one more. It's no mere coincidence that this girl now and the princess she knows share a name and similar features.] That just might be a possibility.
I seem to believe that one day she and I will meet again. If the gods are so kind.
