Discounting the fact that my father was a pure human, they're full of preservatives and other terrible shit. Of all the animals on Earth, they're one of the most unhealthy, from a chemical standpoint.

Yeah, but they usually have to take supplements or specially modified food. Vegetables don't give you everything you need, since humans evolved to be omnivores.

I'm really surprised people haven't just designed special human-like food to deal with you guys and your appetite. Seems easier than tryin' to fight you in the street.

I mean, you guys can only eat homo sapien, right? There has to be some kind of reason. Animals that only rely on one food source tend to hit an evolutionary dead end.

For them, letting us live is as bad an encouraging us to feast. Even if it's a substitute, humans won't like the idea of monsters running loose. Besides, I think I like eyes too much to give them up. They're very, very tasty... Are you sure you don't want to try one? I won't judge. I've seen cannibalism, before. Lots of times, actually.

I'm very interested in what makes human what they are, and what makes non-humans what they are. Helps me try to at least understand why we can't seem to co-exist.

With you guys, at least it's obvious. You're killers, and you're wasteful killers at that. I can't say I entirely blame 'em for bein' afraid.

My people are just victims of bad press. My ancestors could have out-competed the human race at the very start, if they wanted to. Except they DIDN'T want to. They lived in balance with the world, they didn't want to subjugate it.

And... a lot of ghouls work hard, you know. To blend in. To co-exist. They risk their lives to make friends, go to school, work - I think it's rather cruel of you to lump them in with the rest of us.

Maybe so, but the danger would always be present. If I had a bunch of you guys in my neighborhood, I'd be running myself ragged keeping track of you.
