I'm growing restless in this place, mundane. My six months will be finished soon, you realize. I only have to smile and play nice for that long, my debt paid, my energies...mostly restored.
You're tempted to keep me there, I know, even after that incident with the gauntlet, and I'll admit that New Dodge has had its pleasures, but my quarry still waits out in the worlds somewhere. Whether I'm fully recovered by the time I'm finished or not, the life force of a Genie would put some color back in my cheeks.
...Though of course there is the Dark One. The benefit in prey that can't die is that you never have to stop feasting.
