 Well, Mun. The new look for the movie could have been a far bigger disaster, don't you think? I find myself pleased enough.

[But the lasso isn't golden!]

Yes, I do find that odd. Perhaps that, along with the red, the blue, and the stars will make appearances later. But between you and me, it's miles and above better than the red and blue look they'd designed for that other version of me before. 

Though nothing quite beats the classics, it's a good start. 

Let us just hope that the sword isn't a portent of unnecessary violence to come.

Still, I must avow it's far more fitting a fighting lady like yourself. And pants are profoundly overrated, in my experience.

Surprising, is it not? I've seen many suggested looks for what Hollywood would like to put me in. The end result could have been far, far worse.

And yes, I've never quite understood the necessity to put me in pants. They're well and good for Donna and Cassandra, but I've never felt the need for them.

Admittedly, it is a bit drab- but far and away the most wearable design I've seen in some time. [Not that he's going to try a repeat with that one, mind-] But have you any qualms about the choice of director? I've heard very ill-sounding tidings.

Mmm, some mistaken urge to 'make a statement', I daresay. Or mayhap they think your legs look cold? They often tend to push their own frailties onto others.

I've always been fond of brightness and colour. Perhaps they don't believe that the women who were created to bring peace to the world and were capable of inventing things such as the purple healing ray are capable of wearing colour?

I've always thought it to be some sense of false modesty. Gods forbid that a woman can be taken seriously while not in pants like all the other men.

I'm of a mind with you there; drab and dull seem to me as for people trying to hide themselves away, escape the troubles of the life they find themselves in. It's long been my contention that bright colors are only right for heroes; we seek to put ourselves into trouble's path, let it come to us instead of those around that we protect.

Besides, when we come upon the scene folk should know the heroes are here, else what's the point?

...And while I'd not debate you on the finer points of a woman being taken seriously, given how often everyone tries to stuff me in pants, I'd say gender isn't the only aspect. [Maybe they're all just ashamed of their legs? It does take a certain amount of work to maintain a physique worth showing off, after all.]

I would certainly hope the sword does not foretell violence. I-I would not wish such a meager blade upon anyone.

Especially not upon a great warrior, such a-as yourself.

Perhaps it's meant to be a back-up emergency blade. (Not that I would be unable to adequately wield that tiny one in battle, but it does not seem to be the most useful blade in war.)

But I cannot help but think of how I would have smithed a much more a-appropriate weapon, for a warrior such as yourself.

I would leave to hear of the weapon that you would forge for me. I may not employ weapons in a fight as much as some believe I do, but I'm a warrior born and bred. I do appreciate a wonderfully made weapon.

Swords always point towards violence. Though the clothing does not look practical.

I find that there is very little in the world that is absolutely practical, to be honest.

There are things out there that are more practical than others. To start with, I believe a pair of trousers would be far more comfortable than a set of leotards.

For years warriors went into battle without pants. I feel no need to subscribe to modern ideals of modesty when I'm in the battlefield.

Not for modesty, but because getting you legs caught in poison Ivy or stinging nettles will hinder you.

Poison ivy and stinging nettles are the least of my worries. My boots cover my legs up to my knees, and I can fly.

I also have the sword to clear my path if need be.

Flying may only make you a larger target. And while hacking your way through may work, it will only serve as a drain of energy. It is not always so cut and dry.

A coat may also prove useful as well.

Ideas are all they are. From one soldier to another. Standing out only gets a person killed...along with your friends and theirs.
