On existing...again.
[he is somewhere between annoyance and amusement at this point, really.]
I'm back? Well isn't that-- exciting? Should I call it exciting or is it just masochistic at this point for you? I mean, not that I really care or anything but.. well I kind of do. I know that no good can come of you being masochistic.
[there's a pause, almost like he is afraid to voice his next thought.
almost, because he really isn't and it really isn't like him to think before he speaks anyway.]
Are you going to kill me again this time? Or can I safely assume you might actually stick to-- who am I kidding, this is going to be a disaster isn't it?
Perfect, bring me the brandy.

[Hello. There's a look of pure horror on her face and she's just going to let that sink in]
Kill?
no subject
[ more like actively inspired reckless and marginally insane tendencies. the weird monster things helped. ]
Maybe negligence causing death, that might be better...
no subject
[Or in ice. Which earns a glare from her to the general direction of Mun]
--for some time but killing you? Don't you have enough people already gunning for that?
no subject
What's one more for the fanclub then? I should do that, make a fan club for trying to kill me and then charge people for insider tips that are totally false...
[ he would do it, really. think of the fun.
he shrugs]
But hey, I'm back? And mostly in one pice, which is nice.
no subject
Well, I'm glad you're back in one piece. And hope you stay around.
[she offers her hand]
Steph Rogers.
no subject
[ there is the smallest of grins. he eyes the hand and hesitates only a fraction of a second before grasping it, gears moving along with his mouth.]
Tony Stark, obviously. [ he hums ] Steph Rogers, like Stephanie. Steph-- Steve. Oh wow, you're-- this is just perfect isn't it. Well, that answers a lot of my questions, but not all of them, I think I might wait a bit longer before asking you the rest of them.
[ he drops her hand, rocking back on his heels, amusement in his eyes.]
You have no reservation about hitting me if I keep going, do you?
no subject
Trust me, there really isn't anything you can ask me that would make me hit you. The Howling Commandos weren't shy. I don't think anyone's called me Stephanie since--since Erskine, actually.
[Neither was Howard but a good right hook from herself made sure that he kept his hands to himself]
no subject
[ probably shouldn't, but hey, geniuses aren't known for their people skills and common sense.]
And clearly that means I should call you Stephanie. Or Annie, just to be annoying. Did they make you wear a ridiculous call girl dress like I've seen pictures of? And, if so, are there pictures? Because I might want to laugh. Not at you, of course...
no subject
Not a call girl outfit. There was a USO outfit I had, yes. I'm sure if you looked, you can still see it on display at the Smithsonian.
[She winces a little]
I hated that thing.
no subject
Call girl, USO, from the pictures, I doubt there was really much of a difference. The real question is, do you want an updated version? I mean, more flashy and less-- performance-y. I could add glitter if you really wanted, but it makes for more difficulty during undercover operations. Maybe spandex then?
[ he is teasing, obviously. he really hopes she doesn't have to wear a damn dress anymore, because that probably isn't practical.]
no subject
[She gives the satisfaction of a half of a smirk. She doesn't. She never did wear the dress after they put her out onto the battlefield]
no subject
[ what, you think he wouldn't? because he would, just for spite. ]
You think gold rhinestones would be too much? Or red?
no subject
Why am I not too surprised, Tony?
no subject
I don't know, my sparkling personality is apparent? I mean, it is only fair that the suit gets to be as wonderful...
no subject
[she wipes the corners of her eyes a little]
I've seen it at work. And the work and elbow grease you put into it.
no subject
Me and grease? Nah, never.
[ okay so he prefers grease and tattered jeans over suits, but whatever.]
Glad that others see the amazingness that is my genius at work though..
no subject
Oh I said the suit was wonderful.
[see this? This is her teasing]
no subject
So cruel. Can't we just admit that the suit is a reflection of my genius?
no subject
Suit's the product of it, isn't it? So not exactly a real reflection unless your genius is limited to just the suit.
no subject
They-- do that?
[Steve gave Tony a concerned glance.]
no subject
No idea why someone who had to put up with me 24/7 would want me dead, capsicle. No idea.
[ it's a talent he has.
he shrugs. ] Some of 'em, yeah. Sometime they throw you into ridiculous alternate dimensions where you get to deal with things that make Loki look like a walk in the park and sane. Other times, they just make you have sex to survive, unfortunately, my mun didn't choose that route. Only torture and death for me!
[ so he is being a bit melodramatic, but it's part of his charm ]
