A-and I appreciate it, Katara, don't misunderstand my meaning. I just wish you guys would go about it a little differently. My friends are calling me foolish more often than my alleged enemy.

That was me and Zuko with Jet a month and a half ago. So, um. Just take all the feelings you have about the Master, and give them to me about Azula, and then you sort of know how I feel.

[That certainly puts things into perspective, though from Sokka's standpoint, the Doctor's just as crazy and irresponsible as his ward. There's an urge to argue, to pick apart the differences and explain his stance, but arguing hasn't gotten anyone anywhere in months and months and months.]

Yeah, but we always had a plan - a goal. The Master has redeemed himself, right? By not attacking anyone since Aang, and he's protected Juliet. It's alright to go visit him, right?

I can see where you're going with this... [Or, at least, he thinks he does. And he does not like it at all.] Aang never provoked the Master. Nor did Juliet. It's not the same.

What happened to Jet was wrong.

I'm not excusing Azula's behavior. In fact, I'm not excusing anyone's behavior. We've all been wrong at one point or another. We've all made missteps and let our emotions get the better of us.

I think the worst part about all of this is that it feels like you guys think I've chosen her over you.

You befriended the girl that imprisoned Suki, killed Jet, and tried to kill me when we invaded the Fire Nation.

You forgave Zuko. You forgave Jet. You forgave Mai and Ty Lee. They all did things we didn't agree with. For spirits' sake, Katara, you forgave Snape! Don't tell me he deserves it.

You can't bring yourself to try being civil to Azula? Or to just ignore her presence all together? I'm not asking anyone else to be friends with her, I'm just asking you don't treat me like a defector for teaching her how to cook and live in that stupid place...
