two-year anniversary of muse
Two years to the date--by your reckoning, of course--my previous ginger-haired form exploded in a prism of regenerative energy. I sent a message to my chums and pals at the Academy, and found myself returning to Gallifrey.
And here we are now. Our partnership has been...mutually beneficial, wouldn't you agree? You have an adequate platform to sharpen your long-term characterization and worldbuilding, and I-- [He flaps his hand, almost dismissively]--Well, I get exercise, at least.
So, no, you're not entirely useless. To another two years, eh? Fac Fortia et Patere.
Mind you, I'd prefer if you didn't mimic my appearance via cosplay. It's embarrassing.

[ there's a little scrunch of his nose at the thought of it before his eyes fall onto his former male companion. At least that was the best name he could come up with for his and Koschei's relationship.]
And you have to admit. It's a little flattering, the mimicking I mean.

[Her tone is nearly as sarcastic as his. It's not like there's really a good word to describe their...interaction, after all. (Nevertheless, she had possibly felt a slight smidgen of concern upon hearing the news, not that she would ever admit that to him.)]
And your appearance is quite embarrassing enough without a human attempting to mimic it, trust me.

[Companions? Colleagues? Friends, maybe.]
Despite what you may have heard, imitation is not the most sincere form of flattery.

[ Friends, lovers, enemies, they seemed rather interchangeable with them.]
Surely it's not as bad as you make it out to be. While I like your theatrics, I'm sure it wasn't all that bad.

[He's never fully come forth about the circumstances of his regeneration. It wasn't suicide, at least.]
At least mine wouldn't require a scarlet wig. Really, Ushas, doesn't your hair get in the way of experiments?

[Ushas has always known when not to pry into things - not that she always does, but she generally lets Koschei keep his secrets.
Sometimes.]I keep it quite secure, I assure you. I'm well-versed in laboratory safety.
[Though there were a few times in their years at the Academy that she'd lost a chunk here or there. She's well past that stage by now, though, and her hair is one of the few vanities she allows herself.]
