When TMNT and the SCP Foundation get into a trainwreck...
Miss Mundane,
This is unexpected. I guess it makes sense with your time freed up a lot more than how it was. Still, I don't get out of the Foundation often, so I can't complain about the sudden outing. It might be nice to meet some new people, talk to some fresh faces outside of work.
Don't worry about finding a game for me. I have some work assignments of my own coming up. I'd tell you more if they weren't classified, but you know how it is. It's been great getting out of the labs more often. I understand why they keep my room on lock down, but there's nothing like getting out to do what I'm best at. Dad says that he's been trying to get me more work, and I know he keeps his promises. It's enough for me to get more lab time with him right now. I really think we're going to make some breakthroughs on this latest project.
Anyway, this can all wait until you get some sleep. And maybe look into more science textbooks - I know you're apprehensive about playing me.
Regards,
Tiernan Quinlan, 'SCP 20198-1'

I'm only SCP 507, they've found a lot after me, but not enough to have you on the list. Any idea what was under there to cause all those SCPs?

When that thing burst open, all research was dropped. It was all skeleton crews to keep things running while they dove on the grenade that was that place. My father explained it to me as being the only time they ever considered nuking a site from orbit in lieu of even trying to contain it.

So what about you then? They let you out to do some field work every now and then? More than I can get out of them beyond my field trips.

Oh, well - I get some field work, when I can infiltrate something or hack something. It's usually four to twelve hours, max, and obviously I can't just walk around. I think they just treat me as nicely as they do because my father's a Doctor at the Foundation.

Maybe I'll convince them to let me be an agent one day.

Which means I should be tazing you in the spine, but, well. Da and I were always softies about violence, so I'm just gonna try to give you the benefit of the doubt, here.

I mean, really, what's more logical? Some giant turtles, who, despite bein' mutated in the exact same way you were, are completely unrelated to you, kidnapped from some secret Foundation. Or y'know, yer actually related to them and this foundation kidnapped you.
Cause in my experience, and there's a lot of it, secret organizations are the one's who usually do the kidnappin', not the other way around.

Around my sixth birthday, there was a containment and security breach on three floors. The next thing I know I'm in the sewers and these other terrapins are trying to take me somewhere I didn't want to go, underground - if the Retrieval Team hadn't gotten to me I might never have gotten back to my father. Let's play the odds, here: Dr. Quinlan's only son and mutant partial terrapin goes missing on the day of a major breach, and then is retrieved, and you believe somehow the diligent work of a world-wide organization picked up the wrong terrapin? There just aren't enough turtles out there for that to make any sense.
But the Foundation has a lot of enemies. Other groups that want to stop us from keeping the world safe. And so attacks like that, they happen. Not often, but they do. I was lucky. I got back to my Da, even... even if Ma didn't survive the attack. [He can't even remember her, not really. Her pictures are largely out of his reach and his father isn't keen on the subject unless he's drunk, and nobody wants a drunk Dr. Quinlan sobbing about his darling Aislin. Tiernan's face falls for a moment, lost in the guilt of not remembering and the white streak that those events instilled in his father's hair.] Anyway. I'm really not this Donnie person.
Casey has about as much tact as a hammer.
Ouch. Just because he's right doesn't mean that couldn't have been stated better.
The Ethics Committee wouldn't let this kind of lie fly, anyway. They'd have half the staff involved demoted right to D-class if they thought anything like that was going on.
