You know, when you put it like that-- "trying to get my voice" --it sounds dangerously close to a sort of curse. At the very least, it sounds as if you're going to use a silencing charm on me, and you know how I can't have that. After my good looks and sweet disposition, this gob of mine is all I have left, really. Well, that and a wand to hex you right back.

Ah, but I am teasing. You'll do alright, I think. You've got plenty of information to back it all up, although I will point out that's sort of the Ravenclaw approach, and we both know you're a bit more badgery. Just listen to your heart and all that rubbish and I'm sure we'll get on splendidly.

Now then! I believe you said I have some school chums to catch up with? Go on, go on. Can't have you keeping them waiting because you were too busy worrying to let me out. And I really do need to go out-- haven't "watered the plants" as they say in ages.

Does this mean you're finally going to come to Wonderland? Is your mun going to stop fretting long enough to put in an application and make all of my hopes and dreams come true? I mean they've only been talking about this for ages now!

As much as the idea of being locked up in a magical prison is exactly the sort of thing I'd like to avoid, I do hope she gets over it all soon, yes. It seems we're getting closer, slowly but surely. It's this talking thing she's worried about now, and, well, of course I think I sound like myself, but I suppose I'm a bit biased, aren't I?

What do you think? Too rogueish? Not rogueish enough? [He flips his hair.] Should I look like I'm ready to shag your sister? Not that you have one, of course, but that seems to be one approach to [He gestures at himself.] all this.

[Had a very emotional amount about Sirius and Harry leaving Wonderland that eventually led to some deep conversation and perhaps some kissing along the way? Yeah, maybe that's not the best way to go.]

It's quite an effort, actually. I'm glad you noticed.

Soon enough! This weekend is looking excellent in particular, but we shall see if this one over here keeps the nerve up. I suppose it's hard to get in someone else's head when there's so much going on around you. Here's hoping she gets comfortable sooner rather than later and that won't be an issue for long.

How has this Wonderland been treating you, Evans? I'm sure you're working on an escape plan as we speak.

If she needs a little encouragement, I'm told that I can be almost as persuasive as James at times. Don't let her give up on it, alright?

It's better than I expected. There are worse places, though it's not home. We've been putting our heads together to find a way out, but we could use another brilliant wizard in the mix.

And that's why the two of you make a perfect pair. That said, the effort at reassurance should probably be saved for when she's actually plopped me down into the mansion. She's a bit concerned about ruining what the three of you already have going, despite all the encouragement now.

[He puts a hand on his chest, mock-flattered.] Well, if you put it that way, how can I stay away? I'm sure my complete lack of interest in school will be incredibly helpful in making elaborate plans.

Trust me, you won't be ruining anything. There are very few people I know James would rather see.

[Really, Harry and Sirius are at the top of both their lists, she thinks.

She pauses to roll her eyes, though she's smiling all the same.]

Well, it's not as though that will be anything new. You never were one for studying.

[It infuriates her a little, in fact, that he and James both manage to remain so brilliant without it.]

You sure about that? From what I here, you're already well on your way to parenting a whole gaggle of kids. I've never been sure what a gaggle is, of course, but I'm going to estimate it's at least seventeen.

[He grins, shrugs a little.] James is at least partially to blame for my lack of interest in bookreading, by the way. We've got our own, hands-on way of figuring things out, and I quite prefer it.

[Peter's smile looks a bit half-hearted. It's not that he's unhappy to see his school mate it's just he's gotten a bit used to being the only Marauder to pal around with James. But it's Sirius and of course he's happy to see him! So he'll get over this bout of jealousy eventually.]

Hey, when you show up can you bring me my wand? I seem to have left it by my bedside and when I woke up here it was gone.

I'm not sure that I'll have much say in how I arrive, frankly. I'll try, of course, but don't be too disappointed if I can't follow through, Wormtail. I'm told memories are an issue as it is.

[He rubs at his nose awkwardly.]

I've also been told that we're bound to have a few, eh, encounters before we can get things back to "normal". Apologies in advance for any flying fists. At least that fist won't be holding a wand, eh? I'm fairly sure I don't actually want to damage you any.

[Maybe older Wormtail, but not this one. This one is the one he needs to be a better friend to.]

That's all right. I wasn't expecting much but maybe, if it had rolled somewhere near you and you'd picked it up before you came here... but that's a lot of coincidences, you know.

[Peter winces when Sirius mentions fists. It's not something he really wants to be on the end of, even though he's quite certain he deserves it.]

No. I think you'll want to damage me. [He says this quietly and can't seem to catch Sirius' eye.]

Just a few, I'm afraid. That said, I will do my best. Maybe in reality I stole it off you as a joke, hm?

[Sirius frowns, steps a bit closer. Gently, he puts a hand on Peter's shoulder.]

Can't really be too angry at you for something you haven't done yet, eh? Or well. Not for too long, anyway.

[He dodges a bit and finally catches Pete's eye again, smiling a little sadly.]

And maybe...maybe I deserve it, after all. Haven't been the greatest mate to you, have I? Stealing your wand and all. [He smirks a little.]

When I showed up here I could have sworn you and Prongs were off laughing at the newest prank you pulled on me. Well, after I realized this wasn't an actual nightmare.
