Steven! [The Doctor smiles, greeting him as an old friend.] It's good to see you here. Good to see you safe. The world was not as pleasant as it could've been when I left it. [Which is probably the nicest way anyone ever described WW2, but still.]

[Steve smiles carefully, his experiences with Bucky making him wary of old friends who just randomly show up with no rhyme or reason.]

Johann.....sorry. Well short version is he had a plane with a nuclear bomb headed towards the main land so I....well I flew it into the Atlantic ocean with myself inside. But the serum kept me alive frozen for over 70 years.

Not in a field they have a particular name for, but I hold a doctorate in medicine, and I've been dabbling in other fields. I suppose I'm something of a scientist by default. Not many other words for a man who's had his head in every book he could find, you know?
