Quite frankly, this attachment of yours is getting ridiculous. Depending on others only makes you look like an idiot.
Also, next time I want to talk to my wife. Make it happen.

[A laugh that she only barely manages to cover with her hand.]
Because we have messages, too. State Minister-san.

Of course. I confess I don't listen to music closely enough to notice.

What messages would I be missing?

Very true. You're a romantic, Shiori?

Depending on others only makes you look like an idiot if you depend on the wrong people. What head of state doesn't depend on a whole team of people to make sure things are running smoothly? I'd be freaking lost without my advisers and personal assistant these days.

An excellent point, Raven. Though, more often than not, you do have to expect the worst.

Nah. We make mistakes, too. But that's just nature. As long as people learn from their mistakes, it works out fine. If they don't...they don't keep their place. I went through three PAs before I I found one that clicked. Advisers and staff are like everyone else - you don't know how they'll fit in until they're there. And if you've made a mistake in choosing someone who isn't solid, then you've got to fix it.
