I have lost my best friend and my great grandson within recent memory. Their loses are fresh and raw wounds on my psyche, and now there are rumblings of war with their murderers by my own people. They can rot for all I care. Susan is the only one of out kind I would have needed, and with Earth the mess it is and the...the loss of Alex is quite the strain on her already. I cannot ask her, no matter how much I actually need companionship, to give up her time and be a compass for me at this point. Nor do I need a dense fool of a human like you to pretend to be me.

You don't understand my pain.

No, no they aren't. But...it's not the fact that they're human, but the fact that I have lost them the way I did. I have been fighting Daleks for centuries now, I should know all their daft little tricks, and yet...I cannot prevent so many deaths at their hands.
