I don't really get it, but if that's what you wanna do, let's go for it! It won't be too bad on our own. We've got each other, right? And we'll make more friends soon, just you wait.

So don't worry about it. We can always meet new people. And everyone back home'll be thinkin' of us, too. I can feel it.

What is it about your situation that is difficult to grasp?

Ah, well, they want to go do things, but they think it's complicated. Somethin' about finding good places or needing the right style. I didn't know picking things up was this hard.

[Deep thinking is not Gen's strong point.]

Thinking things through is a virtue, I would think.

But my mun fusses over such things, as well. They're quite different from us in that respect.

Was your encouragement effective?

I think so. They're not tellin' me to sit down anymore.

[Which is clearly a measure of how nervous they are? Or something.]

But they keep sayin' I can't just go anywhere. I don't get that. Why does it matter where I go? We can take on anything!

[Gen's optimism is exasperating his mun.]

Are there not setting you'd rather not engage? [Like a setting where characters are held in isolation until such time as it comes to use their powers. ...Not that she knows anything about that.]

Oh. Huh... [Guess who hadn't thought that through yet? Gen puts on a thoughtful expression as he tries to think of a setting he wouldn't like.]

I guess if it was a haunted house. I mean, evil spirits are creepy so I probably wouldn't want to be cursed. Unless we could make friends with them. But no study hall games. I don't want to go there! Like a planet where all they do is have cram school. Ugh... That would be even creepier than ghosts!

[And he may have just wandered into his own fantasy world there.]

[Cram school planets do not seem out of the realm of possibility when she knows space pirates, so she is not unsympathetic. But she does not approve of freak-outs.]

Now you've said it, you've given your player the idea.

[Is she trying to calm him down or make it worse??] Calm yourself. It has not happened yet.

It would take someone twisted to make a study hall game.... [Practically abominable. In fact, tt sounds like something a MOTW would come up with.] It may be the case that you may have to cut down such a person.

[Gentarou is easily swept up in the moment, and he's still flailing around when Kaoru tells him to calm down. But she gets his attention and snaps him out of that little freak out.]

Y-yeah...

[He scratches the back of his head. Maybe he did overreact a little. He realizes that now, after the fact. But when she says he'd have to cut someone down, Gen frowns.]

Cut them down? I'm not gonna do that. I'll just make 'em see it's a bad idea! Who'd want to spend a whole game doing study hall?

The essentially-twisted are not to be argued with.

[But it is also true that players are probably not gedou.]

If you're convinced you're persuasive enough, it may be worth trying. Players can be odd, I've found. Prison games, for instance.

If we talk to them, we can make them understand. They just need to hear us out.

[He says that with full conviction.]

They're like our partners. They'll get it. Because they wanted to team up with us for a reason, right?

The complaints from the people here indicate otherwise....

I don't know why mine wanted to team up with me, but I don't think teaming up has anything to do with it. You're... lucky.

What have you been doing?

They just don't know us yet. We can be friends and it'll be okay.

[He frowns, trying to figure out what exactly the trick is to making this work out.]

I've just been talkin' to them. It's not easy, but they don't seem so bad. And helping them out is what we're here for.

[He points as if to emphasize that idea.]

It doesn't seem as if the gamed one has been helping with anything, but I suppose you would know more than I know mine.

[That, and she doesn't make friends easily.... It's hard to do if her player doesn't engage with her often.]

What is your player thinking of doing now?

We're helping. [He's confident about this.]

We're having fun together. We're here to support them. That's what friends do for each other.

I guess for now we're hangin' back. Until she finds a place she likes. Then we're gonna meet everyone and make new friends.

Thinking it through? It would not do to be impulsive.

Do you make new friends often?

Yeah. She doesn't want us to end up in the wrong place or somethin'. I keep telling her we can fit in anywhere, but she won't listen.

[The mun is not as optimistic as Gen.]

All the time! Making friends is the best part! We need to pick someplace so I can become friends with everyone there.

After? Oh, I guess we hang out. Ah, sometimes we eat together! And we're all part of the Kamen Rider Club together. We help each other out, ya know? It's fun!

[Making friends is apparently his end game. He seems pretty proud of that, too.]

[That's a solid declaration. He's stating it like a mission and points toward her as if posing.]

[That statement is so outrageous that she momentarily breaks the fourth wall to look at the number of members d_m has.]

That is... a lot of people. Surely you can't eat with all of them....

Why not? [His question is completely open and direct. He doesn't see anything odd with being friends with everyone who ever existed. That's normal, right?]

We could all make a hot pot together. That'd feed everyone!

You'd need to acquire the ingredients first, surely. And there's the issue of space to consider. Where would one hold such a party?

Here seems good. I mean, we can all fit here. Maybe have a barbecue and light up some sparklers too! Everyone can join in then.

[She would suggest that barbecue and sparklers are more apt for the outdoors, but she's seen the type of changes muns can impose on d_m-space.]

True.... And with enough fighters around, possible enemy invasion is no trouble at all. Is it to be a summer-themed party?

Well, it's summer right? It's the perfect time for a summer party!

[Gen is proud of himself for coming up with this. It might be simple, but he likes it anyway.]
