Okay Mun look I know you didn't realize you were going to like me so much. But does every cute played by mention, tweet or video have to remind you of me.

I'm a bad ass remember....an adorable one sure, but still a bad ass.

"It is," She responded softly. "Unless you know how to do it, which I do." She fell silent for a moment.

"My mom actually taught me."

This was the first time Nat mentioned a life before SHIELD.

"This is the first time I've heard you talk about your family," Bruce says carefully not wanting to spook Nat into clamming up, "what was your mom like?"

"You were serious about wanting to get to know me right?" She asked, as she slipped behind the wheel of the car.

She backed out and headed towards the store. She wasn't speeding, but she was an experienced driver, so they made it there relatively quickly.

"Completely serious and I'm not one to pass up an opportunity to ask questions when I see one," he replies easily as he watches her park the car.

"My mother was kind and gentle,nothing like me," She said quietly. "She taught me how to dance, ballet. She was exguisite. I miss her." She said turning the car off, and facing him.

"When they died, when she died, it was easier to turn everything off, to treat everything as an assignment. It worked... until now that is."

"I didn't know you danced," Bruce says softly, "it makes sense given how graceful you are and how easily you can balance. I'm glad you had something good you could share with her."

"I don't," She shot back. "For a long time I couldn't even listen to classical music. It was too fucking painful, but time does heal all wounds I guess huh?"

"That's what I've heard is supposed to happen, though I'm never sure if it really does," Bruce says, "though marshmallow kisses might help so why don't we go get some and try it."

"Are you flirting with me Doc?" Nat teased, as she stopped the car. "Come on lets go, oh and we are totally highjacking Tony's beach house okay?" She said with a laugh as she took off running.

"If it's working then yes I am," Bruce says, "also you still have a key to Tony's place?"

Natasha laughed. "You wouldn't be here if it wasn't Doc, " She said as she reached out and pulled him along.

"Of course I do," She stated. "He owes me, and this is how I collect. Have you changed your mind?"

He squeezes her hand gently. "No I haven't," he says, "I've actually never made s'mores in my entire life and I've always wanted to."

She smiled at him, and squeezed his hand, slowing her pace so they were walking in step.

The shopping trip didn't take long, and soon they were pulling into Tony's Malibu estate. He had done an excellent job of rebuilding, and Nat loved it here.

"Come on," She said softly. They walked along the outside of the house, to a tiny private beach like area that wasn't visible from the house.

She let go and went over to the fire pit to get it started. "Tony knows that I have the codes," She said softly, fussing over the fire. "He lets me come here when the world gets to be too much you know? He's been a good friend."

"Have you ever roasted a marshmallow before?"

"Good I wasn't relishing accidently waking Pepper up she gets a bit mean when she's cranky," he says with a soft smile, "and no I haven't roasted marshmallows before....haven't actually done a lot of kid related stuff."

"Well, we are going to have to change that aren't we?" She said reaching out her hand to him.

He takes the offered hand and smiles slightly. "I like the sound of that," he says warmly.

"I kind of thought you might, as she handed him a stick with a marshmallow on it.

"You really have never done this before?

[wearebothangry]

"No...when I was a kid my mom and I were focused on my dad, his work, his rules all that. I didn't really think about what I wanted and by the time I was free enough to think about it I had my work...and Betty to think about."

"Well I think it's time we change that don't you?" She asked him, as she held the stick over the fire. "What other things have you never done?"

Bruce thinks. "I've never been to a baseball game or any kind of sports game. I've never been to an amusement park either."

Natasha smiled, almost giddily for her. "I don't think I have ever had the opportunity to show anyone anything," She said softly, watching the fire.

"You're really willing to let me?"

"I trust you Nat," Bruce says softly, "I need someone I trust so they don't laugh at me when I admit something is new to me."

"I would never laugh at you," She said softly, reaching out for his hand. "Do you know that there are plenty of things I haven't done?"

"What are some things you haven't done yet," he asks gently.

Natasha thought about this for a long moment. "I have never actually watched a sunrise or sunset," She admitted quietly, looking over at him.

"Is that what you meant?"
