(Ricky frowns when he sees her smiling.) Yeah, suppose that's true. But, it doesn't mean I have to like any part of it.

(Make the most? Saying that to him is like telling a lizard to fly. Or a rock to float on water. His whole life was about doing what had to be done, not for enjoyment, but necessity. Even when he thought it would benefit him, it never truly did. He really looks unpleased to hear this.) Been for nothin'? Honestly, bein' dropped off in the middle of everyone's problems isn' exactly the way to make the most of it.
