[Groot stares at the tiny mammal for awhile, contemplating. Sometimes he wonders if he should bother warning them. It's not like they listen after all. Still, might as well try.]

[Groot smiles at her, glad that she seems to making an attempt to pay him heed. The actual facial gesture creates a sound much like creaking floorboards, which only intensifies as he bends down to try and get eye level with her. He seems to stare for a minute before speaking, but if you're perceptive, you might actually see him quirk an eyebrow (or at least what kinda looks like an eyebrow) before asking the next question.]

[It takes her a moment, but the realization of a communication issue does indeed hit her.]

Can I take it then that... you're not from Earth?
