I'm pretty sure something called "tv tropes" doesn't count as an unbiased, reputable source. Sorry. I don't even know why you'd want to go digging -- I mean. Med school -- or what passes for med school these days -- can't be that exciting, right? You see one dissection, you've seen them all. It's all, you know. Pretty boring, really, even with the background radiation.
So why don't we just drop this whole thing, and you can get back to saving the wasteland from cazadores and legionnaires, and pretty soon this interest of yours'll wane, and I'll go back to being an ordinary doctor.
Which I am. For the record.
Yeah.

Yeah.

needs more disapproving icons ;3

Y'know that whole bein' an ordinary doctor crack makes you look super shady. If you're gonna try to be inconspicuous you should TRY a little.
Unless you wanna be found out?
[Hand on hip.] And just what are you up to, anyways?
he does! but i'm having so much trouble finding icons :c
Although being from Nevada helps.]
Frankly, I'm not sure someone with that accent should be giving advice about remaining inconspicuous.
--Ah, but, really, I'm not up to anything. Much, anyway. Trying to enlighten a courier about the proper usage of stimpaks, which is going about as well as you'd imagine. Still, it's a little more exciting than researching the properties of broc flowers, so I don't really have any complaints [yet.].
I bet :c
[Still, she gives her databanks a quick search through those terms and...]
What are stimpacks and broc flowers?

--Hm, let's see if I've still got it in me to give the 101. Well, stimpaks can repair disjointed and broken limbs to full -- or at least somewhat stable -- condition, as well as heal a lot of injuries in one swift stroke. Of course, if you're cornered by a Fiend with a laser rifle, it may only be a matter of time before those injuries return, but the idea is that they'll give you enough of a margin to get to relative safety if you'd prefer not to keep pushing your luck, or finish the fight if you're more... gungho about these things.
Broc flowers, on the other hand, can be combined with other local flora to create a nice approximation of a stimpak, provided you have an empty syringe on hand, of course.

You realize it's too late, right? If you're here, you're not gonna persuade them that you're "just boring."
no subject
Well, it couldn't hurt to try. I mean, she's only had me around for maybe an hour, and that's probably pushing it, so chances are she'll find someone much more exciting sooner or later and I'll be on the way out, and then we can put this whole thing behind us.
no subject
I mean, you'll be throwing someone else under the metaphorical deathclaw, but she already likes you enough to try. That spells enough trouble for you. [It's also probably not nice to call a mun a deathclaw when she doesn't know them, but. Saying is as saying goes.]

[Yes, that's a contradiction there. dwi]
You're an ordinary doctor about as much as I'm a zombie, Gannon. Someone has to teach you how to lie better.
no subject
[Wait. Did he just dig himself in deeper?
Again??] Or a perfectly fitting one. What do I know, analogies weren't on the admittance to the Followers' exam. Nope.
[nice save, gannon. no one will suspect a thing.]

[Aaaand cracking up now because what is maturity and how does adult. She cackles for a moment before grinning at her own dumb joke.]
Nice try. You can drop the act, you know. Out here? Pretty much everything's an open book. -Or history lesson, anyway.
[Surprise!]

When you spoke of the Wasteland, I assumed you referred to the Capital Wasteland.

[Though Boone can't complain much, coming from a time after the wasteland has already kicked out the Legion. Not much for him to do back there now.]

[Yeah... that's what Boone thought, too.]
Guess that depends. You could be right. Can't say for sure what your mun has planned for you. You might be around longer than you'd like, though. Better you keep that in mind.

'Ordinary doctor'. You tried to spin that line with me, if I remember right and I didn't buy it for a second.

but he'll take one anyway]
Well, I'm not pitching it to you, this time. Who knows, maybe I'll have more luck with her.
no subject
[He lights a match, cupping one hand around it and offering it up.]
Anyone who uses "I'm boring" as a put-off line is bound to have something to hide. If I could see it then, I'd bank on her seeing it now.
