Ehhh, you know... I don't think I'd mind being in one of those "games"! But maybe not one of those scary ones with monsters and horror elements. That's better left to tabletops and roleplaying games, don't you think? But oh! It'd be really nice if I could meet Yugi-kun and the others, but I don't mind making some new friends--

[He falters.] W-wait, what do you mean that since I'm just a part of one big roleplaying community, that means you can put me in a horror game if you want to?! I really don't think I'm cut out for that sort of thing!

[FIGHT OR FLIGHT REFLEXES ARE KICKING IN HERE... Ryou would go for flight, but there's nowhere to run so he just droops.]

Surely there are other games out there. I was in an odd dressing room for some time that was simply odd, but not truly scary. Except for the shadow.

Yeah... Maybe my mun will find something not-terrifying to put me in. But oh! I'm in a dressing room right now too. It's not scary at all which is a plus. I just hope it'll stay that way...

I hope so as well. Which dressing room do you belong to? Mun-san is always looking for new places.

It doesn't really have a name, so we just call it "campus". It's kind of more island than campus, but I've made some friends there!

[A little more hesitantly] Still...she seems really committed to putting me somewhere that will make me as uncomfortable as possible.

A school? That doesn't sound too bad, truly, especially if there are friends there.

[ he looks a bit more nervous by the last statement. ] Ah, yes, mundanes can be that way.

Un! I mean, there's Aniki for starters--he's me but from the future! I haven't seen Yugi-kun in awhile, but I've made some new friends like Beat-kun and Rin-chan. They're all really nice!

...Well, Rin-chan can be kind of pushy and mean sometimes, but she means well. I think.

[He just keeps rambling... Talking about friends is exciting, okay.]

If I have to go to a scary place... I think the worst part would be having to leave them all behind.

From the future? That's strange. But it sounds like there are plenty of nice people there. Certainly something I would much appreciate.

I think you'd really like it there! But as for doing both, well...

[He rubs his head, looking uneasy.] That would mean one of my friends coming to the horror game with me... I couldn't ask them to do that. If I have to go, it's my own problem...

[But if somebody seriously offered he'd cave and accept because horror games are scary.]

I suppose that would pose a bit of a problem. It wouldn't be very nice to drag someone else haplessly into a showing of The Ring.

Y-yeah... [He slumps a little.] Whatever it is, I'll just have to deal with it myself. I don't mind it... I just wish it didn't have to happen at all.

I can really only hope for the best. My mun-san has been nice after the last game. I can only hope your mun-san will be nice too. Eventually. [ maybe. ]

Well better late than never! What kind of game were you at before?

It was what mun-san describes as a jamjar underwater where people's lives were linked to the wellbeing of the coral in some odd experiment. Monsters attacked like a giant squid that tried to pop the bubble we lived in. It was terrifying.

[Ryou just wants to be optimistic...!]

..That sounds like it'd make a really cool T-RPG setting!!

Except that we had to live through and survive it! [ though he can't deny it does sound like a good setting. ]

O-oh, right... [Awkward... He snaps his fingers.] Darn! It would have been perfect otherwise. But stuff like that really is more fun when you're just pretending.

It would certainly be a good setup for a game, certainly, but living through it simply was as bad as a shadow game.
