Captain Janeway. [Seven is from the books: hence the fact that she's without implants. But, anyway. Hello!]

Well, Hello Seven. How are you today?

[not_annika]

I am. [She searches for an answer.] Fine.

[She's not not fine. Just... confused and awkward. Well within the boundaries of 'fine'.]

And you?

[voyagerbound]

I'm fine as well.

[Maybe a little tired, but that's easy enough for her to ignore.]

[not_annika]

[There is a pause while Seven thinks.] I believe there is a time differential between us. May I ask what do you recall before you arrived here?

[voyagerbound]

[She frowns. While she was curious about the lack of implants, given her luck with time travel she had decided maybe it was best not to bring it up.

But since Seven did, she wasn't not going to answer.]

The Tsunkatse mess. We had just moved on after parting ways with the Hirogen.

[Which brings up the question she's reluctant to ask...]

How much have I missed?

[not_annika]

I recall. [She pauses as she decides how to answer.] You will not miss much.

[Though there's a brief spell of deadness, there, Captain. But you got better.]

I am some years ahead of you. [That's not a refusal to speak up though, if you really want her to.]

[There's a serious debate going on in her head. Seven has knowledge of things Janeway knew she had no business knowing. Not yet at least.

Her head cants slightly, eyebrow raised.]

We get Voyager home, right?

[That's one question she needs to know the answer to.]

[She sighs and clenches her jaw. Admiral Janeway had come on and told them all about What Is To Come and she frankly resented being used as a tool of manipulation to her aims.]

We make it home.

[voyagerbound]

[The relief is evident on her features the second the words leave Seven's mouth. They made it back to earth--they will make it back. That was enough to keep her going for as long as it took.

However, she can tell from Seven's demeanor something else happened during that period.]

That's good to hear...[She trails off, stepping forward slightly.] But--and correct me if I'm wrong---I get the feeling there's something bothering you.

[not_annika]

You are not wrong. [Whether or not that means Seven will tell is another matter.] It is... complex.

[voyagerbound]

[Janeway certainly isn't going to force Seven to tell her, since well..temporal prime directive and everything.]

Complex, hm?
