Oh, well, they're dwarfs actually! Not too much taller than my hip, and each one has a beard, except for Dopey, actually.

There's seven of them, Doc, Happy, Bashful, Grumpy, Sleepy, Sneezy, and Dopey. They have somewhat large noses.

Dwarves? { She stares in amazement. } I think I would notice one of them.

Why do they have such silly names?

That's right, seven dwarfs.

I don't know! I never asked. It's just how they were named.

I imagine there is a nice story behind their names. { Now she's curious. } My Mun tells me that you and I share a name.

It is one of my names, yes! My birth name is Lilliana Hoffman.

Well, I don't have any other name besides Snow White. What a beautiful name Lilliana is though!

Thank you. I was named after my mother. She died in a carriage accident.

Oh, I'm so terribly sorry. I'm sure she was a lovely woman before.

I never knew her. My father saved me on the very same day that she died. { Lilli was brought into the world via an emergency c-section on the side of the road. } The stories I've heard of her have always been good.

I didn't know my mother either, she died giving birth to me as well. It seems we have quite a bit in common.

I pray your Stepmother was kinder to you than mine was.

I cannot say if she is kinder or crueler, only that I am glad to not live with her any longer.
