Considering AUs and other ideas

Well... I've to admit that it's an interesting idea you got there dude. Ethan protecting me from supernatural villains. But it's just a fantasy. I don't see how I would be in any risk of getting hurt by anything supernatural. Yeah sure it was the mistletoe I got poisoned with. But I'm not that big of a threat to anyone.

Besides that, me and Ethan is not together anymore. We made a mutual decision.

Maybe you should have some other ideas which doesn't involve supernatural stuff? Even though it's Beacon Hills.

Also, those AU ideas about me being a werewolf or a sea sorcerer? Keep those to yourself please.

Really? I think we've been having supernatural things happen in Whitechapel since forever. I don't think anyone would think you were a threat just because you were a supernatural something-or-other, though. I mean, no one sees me as a threat, and the only one whose tried to kill me for being a vampire is the vice principal, so it's pretty cool. Well, except for the stuff with him. He's pretty scary.

[Rory pauses, then emphasizes,]

Almost any girl. If she turns out to be a human sized evil doll that runs on the life force of the people she touches, it's totally off. I've had that happen before.

As long as I remember there hasn't been any strange or supernatural things going on in Beacon Hills. Now all of that has changed way worse.

Well you're lucky then. I've got targeted by supernatural beings without be even doing anything threatening. I don't need to attract more attention then I have already.

That doesn't sound nice. I guess a werewolf boyfriend is pretty much better than that.

Oh, I still get targeted by supernatural beings, but pretty much everybody does. I mean, there was that time that tree attacked me because it wanted to use me for a host, but I think that's balanced out by the time the teacher realized I wouldn't make a fitting sacrifice for the sun god, because I'm a creature of the night. Fortunately she didn't get to finish the ritual at all, since I'm pretty sure summoning the sun would have killed me. Everyone else, too. The sun's pretty hot.

Oh. Valid point, but it really doesn't seem to help much.

[Most people seemed to get wrapped up in these things whether they were supernatural or not, after all.]

It helps some. I'm still alive at least and doesn't need to keep a stash of mountainash around.

Yea--wait, what's mountainash?

Mountain ash and Rowan is the same thing. Rowan and mountain ash keeps supernatural creatures from crossing over it if it's a full circle.

"Oh. I never heard of rowan, either, but I bet Benny's grandmother has some." She had all sorts of stuff that was useful in dealing with supernatural things. "That sounds like it could get really annoying, though."

He could just picture someone trapping him in some place with that as a prank.

It's useful for those who can't or doesn't want to fight supernatural beasts.

"Well, yeah. That's why I figured Benny's grandma probably has some. She has all sorts of herbs and potions to help deal with all the stuff that happens in Whitechapel. Not that I have any doubt that she'd be fine with punching a werewolf, but she doesn't usually go that route. Probably because she's like...seventy."

Sounds like a wise woman. I haven't got any of that to help dealing. But one of my classmates are a werewolf so I guess I would be safe.

I guess. Isn't that only useful once a month? Or really bad once a month, I'm not sure which.

The werewolves I know are very strong even as humans. They retain werewolf abilities while human and can shift at will.

Oh. I don't really have a lot of experience with werewolves. Whitechapel has more vampires.

[It could well be the same in his own world, for all Rory knew. He'd seen a werewolf, once, but that was it.]

I haven't heard or seen about any vampires back home. Just werewolves.

That's 'cause we're all hanging out in Whitechapel where the cool kids are.

I don't mind if your kind stays there to be honest. It's bad enough over here with werewolves.

Yeah, sure. Not like I wanted to go hang out with a bunch of werewolves, anyway.

[He sounds almost offended for a second, but then that quickly switches over to curiosity.]

Hey, wait. Are you scared of us?

From what I've read werewolves and vampires are deadly rivals and werewolves can kill vampires.

I slept with a werewolf. I'm not that scared of the supernatural. But I'd like to minimize any trouble.

Oh. I really don't want to go there, then.

[It probably was true, too, but whether or not that was the case, he wasn't about to experiment with it.]

Maybe that's why you don't have any vampires?
