So - "Wingsville," is it? Just waiting on the final word? I've got to tell you, I'm impressed with the effort you put into the icons and all, but I can't say now is the best time to be taking me from Planet Earth. I mean, sure, a fifteen minute intermission is appreciated for the audience to stretch their legs, but we're heading into the climax now and I'd rather not miss it.
[Molly, honey, you don't really want to go to that Aztec temple, and we both know it. You know it's gonna be bad out there.]
Stop trying to convince me. Whether I want to go or not, I need to do it, and I don't care about those 'foreshadows' you keep trying not to tell me about.
...and the fact that Harry is going to be there really doesn't make a difference. He's just going to want to get back home to save his kid - and that's exactly what we're gonna do. So you can quit making icons now.

Were women in the habit of getting things like this that you can remember? Or turning their hair different colors?
[Heck, she'd tug her shirt down a little to show him the one high up on her cleavage that trails all the way down later, but she doesn't want to give the guy a heart attack.]

Aye. Some do, lass. Some do get ink. Not, I recall, the gentle ones.

So either I'm crazy, a liar, or telling the truth.
[She shrugs a little.] I can't prove it to you, Richard.

You and me could just forget the whole argument over a meal and some...I'm afraid I haven't wine but we could water down your brandy. Make it more -- what was the word? Palatable, like.
[ the word certainly sounded unpalatable in his mouth. ]

...I'm not sure I could go out and eat a meal with someone who thought I was a liar.
[The amusement and teasing is so clear in her voice.]

[ cheeky, cheeky. ]

I can see I'll have to watch myself with you, Mister Sharpe.

[She is clearly SO CONCERNED about this.]

[ he COLOURS. ] If you'll pardon the language.

[Though not. Often. Swearing was frowned upon in the Carpenter household.]
Although I'm not keen on playing second fiddle to supper.

Her ladyship's got standards indeed.

I wouldn't be fit to judge that. I've just met you.
[Again, her gaze darts to his and away, fast as a butterfly's wing.]
I think it's important to really know a person, before you decide what sort of standards they can or can't meet.

It's a kind thought. But there's not much more to meet -- not of me, at least. Just an officer, miss.

No, Molly. Magic isn't the answer. Just a tool.]

[Because she wouldn't let this go, but time, place, and also - caution. She really doesn't know this man. For all she knows, he could have his reasons. Just as she has hers.]

No arguments here.

[Potentially not the kind of joke she should be making, but to hide - that's where her mind goes.]

You're on to summat, there. This here is a rifleman's jacket. Crack shots, us.
[ think elite sniper team but for ye olden days. ]

So you had to especially train for it?
no subject
[ so in effect, no. he was given to the rifles due to his skills. but he's a bit too modest to say as much. ]
