Homeless for now and very tentatively voice testing...
So now that I'm here...now what? You said you won't be able to put me anywhere for a while. Which is fine, I guess. You've got things to get done, and so do I. And you won't even find out what happens to us until later this month, anyway.
...well, guess I'll have to just wait it out. In the meantime, you could probably get me some more icons. I don't just brood all the time, you know!

Well, I've had a lot to think about lately, I guess. And a lot to learn because of it. I'm not always so serious, but recent circumstances have kind of forced me to be...

Bein' broody is Panthro's job anyway, right Lion-O?

[Cue Wilykat contorting his expression into an exaggerated scowl and puffing out his thin chest in an imitation of burliness, complete with a little bit of stomping about and arm-swinging.]
Grrr...

Hey, Lion-O, can I ask ya somethin'?
[His expression has gone thoughtful, and that's rare for Wilykat - he's usually too busy being mischievous with his sister. But she's not here to share this headspace, and so Wilykat is left alone to think.]

You're pretty strong, right?....how'dja get that way?
[Maybe Panthro always won when it came to brute force, and Tygra was bulkier by comparison, but Wilykat isn't thinking about those two now. And, logically, he knows that the leader of their group was once a kitten like him - but it's hard to imagine.]

Well, I guess the only answer to that would be...practice. And a lot of it. Our father always said that even if we were already part of the royal family, we needed the physical strength to back it up. So once Tygra and I were old enough, he'd drill us on pretty much anything. Swordplay, spears, hand-to-hand combat, you name it. And we'd have to do it every day under his instruction.
[Of course, he doesn't mention that Tygra usually beat him at these things, especially when they were younger, because Tygra is a jerk like that.]

Would ya train me too, Lion-O? I'm little, but I can do it!
[He doesn't let his thoughts settle for too long on that mental picture of a family learning something together - a family growing stronger together. Once their parents passed away, he only ever had Wilykit; her, and the streets of Thundera.
Somewhat tentatively:]
I wanna be strong, like you.
[Panthro would growl at him to get lost, Cheetara's strength lay in speed, and Tygra would probably just laugh. But Lion-O....maybe.]

[Lion-O briefly thinks back to when Emrick told him that. It's still kind of an odd feeling, being looked up to when he's spent his whole life being the oddball of his family, but...he doesn't mind it. Not at all.]
Then if you're willing to learn, I'll be willing to teach you. How's that sound?

[Wilykat lets go and immediately puts up two tiny fists, hopping nimbly from one footpaw to the other.]
Put 'em up, put 'em uuuup!

[His ears flick back, eyes narrowing. He slinks to the left and then the right...then the left....then feints right and springs forward.]
Yaaah-!

...then lashes out at Lion-O's face with his footpaw.]
no subject
Whoa! Almost got me that time...

[Wilykat tries again with the other footpaw, the movement just as quick, except he aims for the older cat's chest this time - a bigger target.]

[So pleased with himself....ah, the energy of an 8 year old.]
An' next time, I'm gonna getcha even better.

Yeah, I...could probably get some of those.
