It has been quite a long time, hasn't it? It's wonderful to see you again too, milady mundane.
Now that we've met once more, may we work on finding somewhere for me to go? I know that you worry about my health very often, but I promise you that I am hardly as frail a person as I look. [even if the majority of that comes from sheer stubbornness winning out over his physical needs.] You have yet to steer me wrong--neither as a tactican nor as a writer.
[HA HA LUCIUS JUST WAIT.]
Wherever I can spread Elimine's light best is where I would like most to be, even if I am uncertain of these, er... these "games". Please think it over, milady?

[thanks for that, Canas.]
My own miss mundane appears quite pleased as your sudden appearance, for what her opinion may be worth. As for these games...they are quite curious, are they not? I'm afraid I haven't been able to collect near enough data on them for a proper hypothesis at this time, though I can only imagine the possibility to explore them further must be invigorating! Going where only new knowledge lies, and all of that--
[stop rambling, Canas]

oh elimine it's the weird one I MEANCanas and Lucius aren't much more than acquaintances, but any friendly member of the army is one Lucius doesn't mind seeing.]And you as well, Canas. [an even smile.
HE DOESNT ACTUALLY KNOW CANAS IS A BIG NERD LUCIUS RUN] Thank you for your kind welcome![no wait nvm. he's got the idea. he looks a little taken aback by the blathering, and waits V PATIENTLY for a break in them to speak--]
--ah, they cannot be as dangerous as our term with Lord Eliwood, then? Milady mundane thinks I haven't the strength of will for one. She worries for naught, I think.

it's too late for you now. there is no escapeHe's always admired light magic users, honestly, if only because of how different their magic is from his own (it's like night and day HA HA sorry). It's something he doesn't understand and can't quite grasp so of course he...wants to know more...
...but for now, there is an actual conversation oh right.]
Perhaps, perhaps not. I can't truly say with any confidence, as I've only been to one such game myself. It was quite fascinating and exhilarating to experience such different circumstances from our own--
[focus, canas]
Er, though it is truly kind for her to be concerned for you, surely your strength of will must be clear, from the traveling we have done with Lord Eliwood?

canas come to jesus i mean elimine]Really? What sort of circumstances? [HE HASN'T LEARNED NOT TO ENCOURAGE CANAS. OOPS]
And yes. [he frowns.] I had thought that that much would have been clear to milady mundane... Perhaps this "canon review" she keeps mentioning will reassure her.

Ah, well, you see, the world I found myself exploring was considered a "dream world", with all that you would imagine that might entail--the town itself was even named Somni! It was quite quaint. [canas not everyone knows dead languages] There were quite the fascinating situations that unfolded, however. Why, once we were all attacked by reptilian creatures, quite large. They seemed akin to wyverns or even dragons, though likewise rather different. Perhaps a different species entirely... it was thoroughly enthralling! [that is not even the definition of enthralling, canas]
Thanks to Bartre's help, I was even able to study the inner organs of the creatures; they were indeed quite different from wyverns and dragons as we know them, both lacking in any flight apparatus as well as any capability for flame--but still such valuable species to study! Ah, if only there were another chance to return to see such creatures face-to-face once again.
[they almost ate you, canas]

Dragons and wyverns in a dream world... [more dragons is exactly what we need right] I'm glad that you had one of our own with you, at least, and that you are safe.
Are all of these 'games' this dangerous?
no subject
so sorry....]
I couldn't say--I've only been to the one myself. Though it seems as though they are, more oft than not. Perhaps it is due to a sense of adventure on behalf of our mundanes?
[ahahahaha it's not funny, canas]
I shall sincerely hope for your health and safety should you find yourself somewhere grim, Lucius.

Of course, there are those that are the types that will do so for free out of the goodness of their hearts. Or perhaps, it is lack of skill which is why they do not charge for their services. Nonetheless, poor health shouldn't keep you from your travels. But I do give the single warning that you may come across worse than just having to carry on in a frail body.
But my manners escape me as I say that I, too, look for a place to rest my hat, as it were. If only for a time, I'm not much for staying in one place for too long. Misunderstandings happen around me, and then people die. Rather than the fault of panic and unjustified fear, it always the fault of the one who is attacked. I wonder about society sometimes which is why I try to avoid getting involved in it.
Still, you seem like a nice enough lad that such, uh, confusions should not plague your stay.
no subject
[worse? oh boy. he nods, though, accepting the warning with grace.]
Thank you. I have known many whom misfortune follows, like yourself-- I am no exception, "nice lad" [a small smile] or no. May the grace of St. Elimine keep you and protect you in your journey.
no subject
My pleasure. [ He gives another hum. ] No need to grant me the grace of any god or goddess. Such things can only take a man so far and I plan on traveling a rather great distance.

[Lucius laughs quietly
and doesn't comment on the remark about friends because OOPS, HE DOES THAT. HE'S THE MOM, IT IS HIM.]Then I shall send you my own best wishes, sir-- [wait. he doesn't know this man's name.] O-oh, I apologize. We haven't introduced ourselves and I am already asking you for favors. How thoughtless of me.
no subject
Only thoughtless if I had not offered first. And I am named Bauchelain.
no subject
[He's not terribly sure if he's speaking to a man or a woman, and he knows all too well how awkward making a guess can be.]
omfg
Yes. She favors me quite a bit. She has been far too kind to me in the time we have known each other.

[ It's been a while since he's seen Lucius but is it really worth seeing him in the hands of one of you people no it is not.
Nothing personal Dani he's just had the misfortune to meet or be played by your horrible friends.]no subject
Surely... surely that cannot be true? [it is, lucius, sry2say-- you've just not gotten to see the worst of it yet.] Milady mundane has been so kind. Hardly capable of the cruelty others claim.

If you think that well of her, you'll only be hurt all the more once she stabs you in the back. And the kinder she's been, the harder she'll stab. These women delight in the suffering of those they care for, and yours is among the worst. Just ask her about a man called Travis, you'll see what I mean.
...No, forget I said that. Don't ask about Travis; he is a loathsome creature.

I-I shall be on my guard then, milord.

... You're more foolish than I thought, Lucius. [ Rude, Raven. Forcing your mun to brush off your voice just to say that? ] Where is she thinking of taking you?
no subject
after being reassured that doubles are normal ok lucius please do not have a panic attack--]
I will be on my guard, I swear it! You [the other you????] have already warned me, and, erm, I will not allow myself to be taken in so easily should she turn cruel, as you say that she may.
And I've no idea. She speaks of an abandoned town, with others from our world-- though they are from different times and continents: the healing magic I've learned, she says, would do well there. But that is only tentative.

[ He's learned about Elimine, thanks to you! ]

[...no, wait, that's not her. Must be his eyes playing tricks on him.
SORRY LUGH HE'S 20 YEARS YOUNGER THAN YOU REMEMBER]Pardon me, I almost mistook you for someone else. I will be all right; you're very kind to ask.
Have we met somewhere before? I'm afraid I can't recall.
