So you're coming out of retirement and the first thing you do is give me a new face? Not that I'm complaining. This new one is a little more spot on.

I'm also flattered.. really.. but why not someone else? Why is my name the one pulled from the pit? Don't give me any of that "I missed you" bull. Zeus knows that's a lie.

Though I would like to be dusted off. Maybe take my chances in that new realm. Besides who would be a better pick to fight off some evil forces?

Who knows this could be good. If not... well no harm done, right?

Trust me, it gets way worse.

And that's different from home, how? You know as well as I do that things go from bad to worse. And worse and worse before we have a sliver of good.

It's not like it something I can't handle. I mean come on. I was a tree for half my life.

It gets worse than back home. Which is kind of weird and terrifying to think about. But it totally does.

I have no doubt about that, Annabeth. [Though things back home aren't really that good right now. She has a pretty good idea as to how bad things could get.]

You know more than anybody else that I hate to back down from a challenge. Though I don't like the idea of leaving my girls back home.

I guess that will depend on how annoying you can be to your mun before you end up someplace.

Apparently, I'm not that great at it.

The Aphrodite kids do it all the time, can't be that hard. [She shrugs.]

The place I'm heading to though is some fairy realm or something. Kings and queens. That shouldn't be too different from the Olympians.

There are others from our world that might end up there too, Annabeth.

I am someplace, that's the problem. I, uh. It's a really terrible version of the Underworld. Like worse than the one back home. Almost as bad as Tartarus was.

At least the air hasn't tried to kill us yet.
