[A shadow falls over Amon as a young Sky Bison hovers over him sniffling the scent of berries hopefully]

[Amon smiles behind his mask. He will never say it where anyone can hear it, but this is adorable. He takes a few berries out and holds them in his upward palm towards the bison, to see if it wants some.]

[She makes a happy noise floating down and slurping his entire hand with a thick tongue to gather up the berries, watching him with her big expressive eyes]

[He takes out more berries, wondering if he should try petting her. He's always kind of wanted to play with a sky bison. But right now, he's content to just watch her be cute.]

[Berries first it seems, happy to slurp up the next handful of berries and chew on them thoughtfully. Leaning in to nuzzle her giant fluffy head into him. She does in fact smell like blue berries. Go figure.]

[He strokes the fluffy creature as she nuzzles him, chuckling softly. It's nice to find something left that's still innocent and sweet.]

And Tenzin thinks I can learn airbending from you. Or one of your people, anyway. Don't tell him, but I'd be satisfied keeping you on the island. Maybe then things wouldn't feel quite so lonely.

[It's OK, she's pretty good at keeping secrets. And airbending. She doesn't even know that she's good at it. Just that it happens and this nice guy is willing to feed her and pet her. What's not to like? More nuzzling. All her motions are gentle and slow which is useful given her giant size]

I hope I never meet the Amon from your world. He seems like a nightmarish figure.

I'm sorry. I've had nightmares about the Korra of my world. About how useless I would be without my bending; how everything would be for nothing, how many people I'd have let down... [His voice grows soft, head bowed.] In my dreams Republic City burns and she laughs while she rips off my mask, grabs me and takes my bending away forever.

I don't know if Korra's parents are aware of what she's doing or not. She claims they came with her as a small girl to Republic City, and that they were abused at the hands of benders. She's never made a statement on them besides that.

That's why I think her tales she tells Republic City might have truth to them. Something had to happen to change her into what she's become. Something went wrong. I just wish I knew what.

[She nods] There might. Maybe you'll be able to find out something from her parents if they managed to let you talk to them.

Where would your parents go, though? Since you were not the Avatar in my world, they went to Republic City to ensure a better life for you. That's all I have to go off of. So tell me, Korra: where should I start looking? I don't even know your parents' names.

Try the Water Tribe district? It would remind them of home, I think. If not try the homeless areas underground. Their names are Tonraq and Senna.
