On shenanigans

You spark up a little bit of trouble and suddenly, the entire Church is up at arms about it. Fortunately, that brilliant Judge knew exactly how to handle this situation: ... do the exact same thing as I did, only replace soldiers bearing the deathman's head with the holy cross!

What a sensible solution solution that was! And yet, it was expected of them. For you see, mun, the actions of my SS operatives were certainly questionable in nature. Brutal. Violent. There is no sanity behind it. However, the Church's operatives and their actions are surely sane! They bear arms for their God and act as ordered in their doctrines to do what is right and just... so their sanity is assured by their God.

But what is it that assures the sanity of God?

... You're saying perhaps someone from the Iscariot could answer that question? Perhaps! Although, I already have an idea on what their answer might be...

Did somebody say 'god'?

We canst not begin to fathom how mortals choose to act in our name.

[personal profile] dragonemperor 2012-03-11 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
We believed our intent was clear. The answer to thy question is 'yes'.

[People seriously used to talk like this, at least where he was from.]

It's surprisingly hard to write for this guy.

Believest as thou like, it changeth naught.

[Why did he make that deal all those centuries ago, again? Mortals.]

Nevertheless, if he be the Judge we art thinking of, we think his god hath little to do with it.

[personal profile] dragonemperor 2012-03-11 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
We deal in affairs far beyond thy comprehension, mortal. We do not go 'mad' as thy understand it. If thou seeketh justification, thou must find it somewhere else.

[Why yes he has gone peeking in the other thread. Why do you ask?]

[The large snake, bearing feathered ears and emerald eyes, lifts his head and tilts from side to side as he speaks.]

You are acquainted with God?

[ooc. sorry for not having any icons of him, but it's a canon that's really obscure! this is "The Serpent" from a book about Eden called The Garden...hope this is okay!]

[ooc. in a very interesting interpretation of it, yes!]

Mad? [The Serpent ponders this, a tongue slipping out to lick at the side of his mouth as a cat would. No sliced tongue on this one, it looks quite velvety and is in the shape of a four-leafed clover, very handy when he needs to grip something or form a cup.] Do you have any particular reason for thinking along those lines?

[personal profile] nachash 2012-03-11 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
[ooc. i will toss you a pm! :)]

...this is much to take in.

[It is indeed, and very difficult. The Serpent has known God since He was, since He created, since He made Adam and gave Eve to his care, keeping, and teaching. God, a dangerous being of great power, and very quick to anger, and the dreams that Eve had had...]

Well, He did speak of a church He would have, quite fondly and at length. Though mankind committing crimes and atrocities for His image... [That tongue slides over his nose, a proud one at that. Feathered ears move slightly as though to fan in the information fully.] There is much He did not predict, this is troubling news, very troubling.

[ooc. you're welcome, any time!]

That I believe? [Those emerald eyes narrow, and ears flap out slightly. The Serpent draws back, nearly half of his body off of the floor before stopping. Its clover-like tongue slips out again before it speaks.] I do not believe, for it is what I am. Many things, but known mostly as Serpent. Your information is most troubling, simply because before I was brought to this place, I was still in the Garden with dear Eve and Adam.

[And a golden apple that should have been thrown over the falls with the rest, the one that the monkeys overlooked.]

[Its emerald eyes widen as this strange man continues on. Is it really so hard to believe? No, it is not. But as the creature who watched the blossoms of art and construction open, who watched the clothes for the cold North come into being...it is not without merit.]

There is much that has surpassed God. Indeed, He has no care for that which happens outside the Garden, of blizzard [which Serpent itself named] or tornado or volcano.

I have missed much, a very great deal, truly.

[Oh, no. The Serpent does, indeed, glide on its stomach, but it is quite capable of standing on the very tip of its tail when it decides to do so, and of making itself larger, smaller, or something else entirely.

It draws itself up to eye-level, muscles coiling and uncoiling to do so, and its very much extended its length by a good third.
]

God works on them, His specifications. His songs and praises and what He demands humans know Him as. It is quite sensible that He would lose touch with humanity once He has tossed them from the Garden, once they have lost their amusing appeal to Him.

[If the Major is prattling about the nature of God, then this must be his boring downtime.]

You must be really bored if you start talking about God. It's the most useless topic and subject to ever talk about.

In the end, no matter how many times you can argue, God is pretty subjective. Who guarantees his insanity? Men and their intent. Men who are fragile and die easily. Where does the soul go? It something that us monsters are not concerned about.

[Alucard brings out a tiny portable travel version of Chess.]

Fancy a game of chess? Planning a war step-by-step can be exhausting. Call this a truce, a break, if you will.

[Because like life, Chess is a game.]

[Shrugged and he smiles. He does have a soul, but it was fragmented and split into different personalities. Alucard in the present now, has little to vague memories of being Vlad or Count Dracula, even though both persona of the same being is hidden within him. Yet, form has no meaning to his existence, mingled with his other 3 million souls.] I wouldn't know about Heaven or Hell. I escaped from both, but I'm Earth-bound and forced to live among humans for eternity.

[He laid the board and the pieces on the table and he seated.]

Black or white?
