On shenanigans
You spark up a little bit of trouble and suddenly, the entire Church is up at arms about it. Fortunately, that brilliant Judge knew exactly how to handle this situation: ... do the exact same thing as I did, only replace soldiers bearing the deathman's head with the holy cross!
What a sensible solution solution that was! And yet, it was expected of them. For you see, mun, the actions of my SS operatives were certainly questionable in nature. Brutal. Violent. There is no sanity behind it. However, the Church's operatives and their actions are surely sane! They bear arms for their God and act as ordered in their doctrines to do what is right and just... so their sanity is assured by their God.
But what is it that assures the sanity of God?
... You're saying perhaps someone from the Iscariot could answer that question? Perhaps! Although, I already have an idea on what their answer might be...

Did somebody say 'god'?
Oh, hey, Fou-Lu

[People seriously used to talk like this, at least where he was from.]

My concern is... the interpretation that these believers liberally make based on their standards of "sanity" and "insanity".
It's surprisingly hard to write for this guy.
[Why did he make that deal all those centuries ago, again? Mortals.]
Nevertheless, if he be the Judge we art thinking of, we think his god hath little to do with it.
It must be! ... but I can relate.
what guarantees the sanity of God?
no subject
[Why yes he has gone peeking in the other thread. Why do you ask?]
no subject
What matters most is what happens on this world and this world alone. Why, we have already proven... that we of this world can surpass all of you "fake" gods!
no subject
You are acquainted with God?
[ooc. sorry for not having any icons of him, but it's a canon that's really obscure! this is "The Serpent" from a book about Eden called The Garden...hope this is okay!]
no subject
Why, yes. And I find Him to be quite mad.
[There are only a few snakes that ever really talk about God. ... or talk at all, for that matter. Either way, the scenario has an uncanny resemblance to that of Genesis, isn't it?]
no subject
Mad? [The Serpent ponders this, a tongue slipping out to lick at the side of his mouth as a cat would. No sliced tongue on this one, it looks quite velvety and is in the shape of a four-leafed clover, very handy when he needs to grip something or form a cup.] Do you have any particular reason for thinking along those lines?
no subject
[This one certainly wasn't a normal snake... if the ability to speak didn't indicate that. But as long as he can speak and reason, the Major will reply to the best of his ability as he would towards any human. Or monster.]
This is presuming that the existence of God can even be proven. It cannot without a doubt be proven, but there is that lingering "image" of God produced in the minds of His believers. And in the name of that "image", they committed all manners of crimes and atrocities all across the ages out of "righteousness". Except now the modern Church uses every bit of effort to distance themselves from that.
Then there are the crimes and atrocities that I commit! The only thing that differentiates the two is the sanity of God. ... but what guarantees that? I believe that any God that would allow madness like mine to flourish across the globe regardless... is as mad as I am!
no subject
...this is much to take in.
[It is indeed, and very difficult. The Serpent has known God since He was, since He created, since He made Adam and gave Eve to his care, keeping, and teaching. God, a dangerous being of great power, and very quick to anger, and the dreams that Eve had had...]
Well, He did speak of a church He would have, quite fondly and at length. Though mankind committing crimes and atrocities for His image... [That tongue slides over his nose, a proud one at that. Feathered ears move slightly as though to fan in the information fully.] There is much He did not predict, this is troubling news, very troubling.

I presume that you believe you are the Serpent of Eden. Well, then, Herr Schlange, you've missed out on thousands or millions of years of development.
You should be aware that the world your supposed God created? Is one that is drowning in exquisite conflict, zealous, sacrilegious, or simply committed out of simple bloodlust without any excuses made.
no subject
That I believe? [Those emerald eyes narrow, and ears flap out slightly. The Serpent draws back, nearly half of his body off of the floor before stopping. Its clover-like tongue slips out again before it speaks.] I do not believe, for it is what I am. Many things, but known mostly as Serpent. Your information is most troubling, simply because before I was brought to this place, I was still in the Garden with dear Eve and Adam.
[And a golden apple that should have been thrown over the falls with the rest, the one that the monkeys overlooked.]
no subject
[Not that he really believes you on being from Eden, Serpent. You can claim all you'd like, but... there is no proof of Eden even existing. The Major will, however, play along with you just for now. This is the first time he ever had a dialogue with a snake who believed it was of Eden.]
You've missed the first murder. You've missed the formations and eradication of independent tribes, communities, societies, and legacies. You've missed new technologies and advancements being created that allowed man to surpass God and make Him obsolete. You've missed seeing the entire world burning in front of your very eyes.
There is far too much to tell you, but perhaps it would be best if you were left to see it yourself!
no subject
There is much that has surpassed God. Indeed, He has no care for that which happens outside the Garden, of blizzard [which Serpent itself named] or tornado or volcano.
I have missed much, a very great deal, truly.
no subject
Unfortunately, that was not specified in his doctrines. If only it were, eh?
[The Major gives a smug grin as he looks down over at the snake with his golden eyes. Indeed, if only.]
no subject
It draws itself up to eye-level, muscles coiling and uncoiling to do so, and its very much extended its length by a good third.]
God works on them, His specifications. His songs and praises and what He demands humans know Him as. It is quite sensible that He would lose touch with humanity once He has tossed them from the Garden, once they have lost their amusing appeal to Him.

You must be really bored if you start talking about God. It's the most useless topic and subject to ever talk about.

[Alucard brings out a tiny portable travel version of Chess.]
Fancy a game of chess? Planning a war step-by-step can be exhausting. Call this a truce, a break, if you will.
[Because like life, Chess is a game.]
no subject
[The Major seats himself, accepting Alucard's offer. Really, even in this so-called truce, the two would still battle all the same. That was just fine with him.]
Fun as this has all been, I accept. We are in neutral grounds. There's hardly anything I can do to extend my war here.

[He laid the board and the pieces on the table and he seated.]
Black or white?
