[Cutter sighs deeply, shaking his head. At least there's still some amusement to be found in all of this, somewhere deep down.]

We've got our hands full as it is. [He makes a vague gesture with his hand, waving it a little before jerking his thumb over his shoulder, pointing to some invisible entity.] Old bloke on my end is looking to send me somewhere "exciting".

Oh? Do tell. I love a good adventure. Especially when it comes with a pay off.

[Granted, dealing with the Powers That Be never seems like such a great idea, but she's mostly teasing. And who knows? Maybe Charlie will get wind of something good when he's tossed wherever he's going.]

What do they have in mind?

Weird place, let me tell you. Don't know what's gotten into this one but from from the way it sounds, looks like I'm heading for some "hanky-panky island". [A delightful little place called Amatomnes.

Though Charlie doesn't seem to think it sounds quite so delightful. "Have Sex or Choke to Death Island" isn't exactly a choice spot for vacations and parties.]

Now, I enjoy a good slap and tickle as much as the next but I've got a few words for being dropped arse over tit into a place like that. I hear Nate's there at least - that wife of his too.

Least I'll have a spot of company.

[Oh, he's going there, is he? She has to fight off a grin at that. The thought of Charlie Cutter being sent off to a sex island holiday is already novel, but he's complaining about it too.]

Doesn't that sound lovely? Well, I'm not surprised to hear those two are there. They can't seem to stay out of trouble. But you I just can't see playing the good neighbor.

Then again, it might be fun.

[Charlie can't help but scoff at that, giving her a look. Chloe's idea of fun is a far cry from his own. Then again, his own fun tends to stem from headbutting people, avoiding narrow spaces, classic cinema and ~~travelling with Thorin and Bilbo~~ and other such endeavours.

Yeah, I'm right chuffed about it.

[Chloe sees his look and acknowledges it with a wider smile. She knows what he is thinking, and it's always entertaining to throw a little change of topic into the conversation.

It's clearly not Charlie's first pick for a vacation spot, but that is why she's teasing him.]

You'll be in great shape, darling. I'm sure they'll take good care of you. Keep an eye on the happy couple, yeah? You know all the trouble they get into.

[He's used to her teasing by now. He might even like it, just a little.]

Someone needs to be keeping the kids in line. [And Sully's not around so the role of Responsible Adult falls to Charlie.

He pauses for a moment before gesturing towards her, pointedly.]

But if I see Nate with his knickers 'round his ankles, that's it. I'm out, darling.

[Only a little, of course. She might just assume he likes it too, but that's Chloe for you.]

What, isn't that what you've always wanted? A little more surprise in your life?

Take care of them, Charlie. God knows they need it. [She's laughing, but only a little.]

[A little. Okay maybe a lot.]

Surprise. Hah. [A shake of the head and slight roll of the eyes, though any annoyance is quickly dispelled by a warm glance and curl of the lip. A little smirk is playing there across his face a moment later, a little more relaxed and amused. Cheeky thing you are, Chloe.]

I say you'd be a better fit than I would. I've half a mind to invite you along.

[Chloe smirks, still teasing him with amusement in her eyes. As always, she's cool and unashamed, one hand resting on her hip with a gently challenging pose. As if she is daring the world to question her.]

I am a perfect lady. Or are you saying that you want my company? Afraid you'll get lonely in your island paradise?

[Charlie's smirk remained across his face, almost tickled by her challenge.]

Hard to call it paradise if you're not there, innit?

[She doesn't seem to mind either way. Chloe is all about entertainment, and teasing Charlie is her current game.]

More than I can handle? I'm already in way over my head. [And that was just with Nate alone. Toss in the rest of the man's motley crew and well, it had proven time and again to be a recipe for a particular brand of disaster.

One he wasn't about to give up any time soon, judging by that playful grin.]

[She's glad to see him smiling. At least that means it's probably not as bad as it could be. Being stuck on a strange island could go so many wrong ways. With a few of them there, the chances are much better all around.]
