Maybe your mun was just waiting for the right time to let you out. Sometimes they keep us in solitary because they aren't confident that they can show us a good time.
Hmm. That's a relief. [affectionate headpats for you] Not that I don't think you can take care of yourself but... it would be a weight off my mind if I knew you had someone willing to watch your back out there.
Knowing you, you'd probably still be one. But we might have to shave off a few points if you don't pull it off. It wouldn't be fair to anyone else if we still let you keep the same score.
Let's see it then. Show me one of those "cool" leader-like things I've done to impress you so much. [He is only half joking; the compliment is often paid to him but he doesn't actually understand what other people mean by it because to him, he is just acting the way he normally does.]
[Now that he's asked her to do something like this, she just has to deliver.]
Okay! Let me just get into character.
[She takes a few breaths, all the while trying to recall a time that he's came off a cool leader type. A faint redness colors her cheeks as a moment comes to mind, back when they'd first encountered Inoue-san in Inaba and he'd went along with her story of marrying him. With a quick shake of her head and one more breath, she stands upright.]
That's right. The two of us are getting married when we finish with our schooling. I might not look like much but I will support her.
[She does her best to act like how he would and even tries to make her voice low as she pretends to speak like him.]
[But as soon as it's over, she brings her hands to cover the blush on her cheeks. She sticks her tongue out at him, feeling sheepish about the whole thing.]
[...oh god. She didn't just pick that line. It is well-delivered but the memory of it is kinda...... it makes Yu bring his hand up to his mouth and duck his head to the side. The effort is wasted though when the tremors in his shoulders move to encompass his entire frame and the laughter he tries to fight off escapes through the gaps of his fingers.]
Sorry! I'm not-- It's not you-- [He tries to explain but the laughing just won't stop.]
[It was already embarrassing enough that she did something like that. Seeing him laugh at her like that only made her feel worse. The redness of her cheeks deepen as she stomps her foot.
Her brows knit together and her lips quickly turns into a pout.]
Seriously, Senpai? I put a lot of effort into that and you think it's funny?
[It takes a good minute before he is capable of talking again.]
I wasn't laughing at you. You were perfect. [As far as he knows anyway... He wipes the corners of his eyes with the heel of his palms, trying to school his expression into a more neutral one. It's hard to stop smiling though.] You just caught me off guard. I didn't think you'd go with that one.
But her anger dissipates rather quickly and she's once again blushing. The situation then was already embarrassing enough but having to relive it like this? It was a whole different story.]
It's the one I remembered first, okay? [And the most, but he doesn't need to know that, right?]

[She brings up a finger to her mouth, tapping it against her lip. It isn't long before she lets out what seems to be a weary sigh, but the smile on her lips betray her.]
I guess I can. Looks I can't stay mad at you for too long.
[If there was someone in their group who was most like a baby animal, that person would be you, Rise. What else is there to say in the wake of such... cuteness? Nothing, that's what.
That's the spirit! It's really best to make most of the time that you've got now that you're out. Can't take the risk of falling back into boredom again, right?
I don't think gambling is something I'd be good at. Besides, I'm back to getting a normal teenager's allowance instead of the paychecks I got as an idol, so I don't have a lot of money to begin with.
Yeah. I used to have to do all sorts of things. [She ticks each one off in her hand.] Sing, act, dance, model. You name it and I've probably done it already.

It's good to see you out and about, Rise.

[She lets out a sigh but she perks up easily.]
It's about time I was let out, Senpai. It was starting to get stuffy in there!

I guess that what makes you such a great leader, huh?

[With that he gives her a significant look.]

But that's what I mean! You get to say things like that and still look cool. Only a true leader can pull off something like that.
no subject
So are you saying that I won't be an honest-to-god leader anymore if I can't pull off being cool?
