Well, hello there! Long time no see.

This should be interesting... for those I left behind at the Wake. Sadly, I'm not there anymore, but I expect you could make things exciting for them.

Many beasts of one mind is very close! I am a Tinish pack. All of my kind are packs like me, with many members making one person.

I see then. How does one of your packs reproduce than? Are you able to migrate to another form if necessary?

[The possibilities of gaining a minion of such power interests her greatly. Her face softens with curiosity, for now.]

[Eugh, icky reproductive stuff.]

Members mate. Sometimes within a pack, but most often with members from an unrelated pack. The puppies from matings often join the bearer's pack as their new member. For those who do not wish to mate, the broodkenners match us with young singletons.

What do you mean, migrate to another form?

Your consciousness. Are you able to move it?

[She tries her best to remain cool, but what is the point of ruling a small population that never grows? Reproducing was necessary, fool.]

What exactly is this broodkenner though? Are they some form of leader of these Tinish packs?

[Headtilt.] Not really. Singletons who were once part of a pack carry the person's consciousness and can add it to a new pack that they join. But the consciousness always stays in a member's body.

Broodkenners are not leaders; they are more like- caretakers of our young.

Then they become more of a melded consciousness it seems. Would that be accurate?

[The concept was more of a theory to the sorceress, but she did not dismiss it because of mere theory. After all, she had made success from nothing before.]

Have you no leaders of your own? No governing body or ordered caste?

Yes, exactly! The same also happens when a pack gets a puppy that they are not both parents of, but broodkenners work to ensure that there is as little personality shift as possible.

Of course we have leaders. My queen is the Woodcarver, who has ruled the north for centuries. I am one of her advisers, and her offspring.

[Thinking on this, she wonders how this could be utilizes to the fullest potential now.]

Offspring? Then you are of noble blood and a councilor at that. How fortunate for me to have encountered you. I presume your is a pack like yourself then.

Ah- well- I am not wholly of Woodcarver's blood, of course. But in large part, yes, and I was specifically designed by Woodcarver to embody his mechanical genius.

There is no other pack like Woodcarver! His soul is over six centuries old and has been unchanged for nearly all that time!
