I make the best decisions. Spoilers in comments. [Canon: Kill la Kill]
...Yes, I will agree that this is indeed better than being impaled on my own blade.
...But not by much.
...But not by much.

You got a lot of nerve showing up alive now.
[She's still kinda... pissed off about a lot of things.]

[He was very content to just let his plans play out and be done with everything. Living with Ragyo kinda takes the joy out of life, y'know.]
no subject
Who cares whose idea it was?
Just hurry up and go back to being dead already.
no subject
[He stops, taking a moment to stroke his beard.]
...Though I will say that I am proud of the woman you've become.
[...Junketsu manipulation aside. Not that he blames you for that.]

DON'T GIVE ME THAT "PROUD" SHIT! YOU COULDN'T SHIP ME OFF TO ALL THOSE SCHOOLS FAST ENOUGH! THE SECOND I WAS OLD ENOUGH YOU GOT RID OF ME SO YOU COULD START ON YOUR NEXT PROJECT!
[How's it feel to be on the receiving end of the rage of a seventeen year old who just had her world torn apart, Isshin?]
I always wondered why you called me back home that day after all those years. Now I know it was just BECAUSE YOU WERE FINALLY READY TO SEND YOUR WEAPON AFTER RAGYO!
no subject
That's not true. I sent you to those schools so you could have a more normal childhood than what I could give you. I started the Nudist Beach movement in the hopes that you wouldn't have to fight.
I called you back, because I saw that Ragyo would not be stopped so easily. Even with Satsuki and Junketsu opposing her, it wouldn't be enough. Junketsu was... flawed. It didn't have a conscience. Satsuki's will could override that, but it would never giver her its full potential.
I created Senketsu specifically so you and Satsuki could survive your mother's madness. That is all.

[It's a perfectly logical explanation, as expected from a scientist. Maybe it's even true. But Ryuko didn't work with logic at her best, and she's definitely not that right now. She's hurting, angry, confused and she doesn't even know WHAT SHE IS anymore. Logic is a distant concept right now.]
What's the difference? Your first two tools weren't going to get the job done so you decided it was time to use the one you kept on the backburner until then. You never even said a word to me until then.
no subject
[It's the first time he actually raises his voice before his expression softens, reaching a hand out to Ryuko's forehead, thumb brushing the hair from her eyes.]
You are my daughter, for whom I would sacrifice anything for. Anything else comes second.
no subject
[Slapping his hand away and moving back a few steps. This is what that "normal" life taught her. When she's hurt attack, attack, attack.]
And don't call me that! After all this... YOU CAN'T JUST COME BACK FROM THE DEAD AND TRY TO ACT LIKE MY FATHER!
no subject
I know. I have no right to that title. Just knowing you are alive, and have the tools needed to thrive, in spite of your mother is enough for me.
no subject
Whatever. You'll get what you want, I'll kill that bitch and her blonde little doll, but I'm not gonna do it for you.
no subject
I never intended for you to be doing it for anyone else. Satsuki could attest to that much. That is part of why I called Junketsu her wedding dress. The two becoming one, beholden to nobody, least of all the parents.
The instant you put Senketsu on, your destiny became your own. Not mine, not your mother's, not Satsuki's. Yours.
no subject
Well, look at that.
It seems that even the long dead creator of skimpy clothes that become even skimpier can stay kicking around here.
no subject
Hmm. You don't seem to be of life fibers, nor would there be enough to constitute a consciousness, even if you were a kamui. What exactly are you?
no subject
The answer you are looking for is simple. I am not made of those freaky, alien fibers that you bros decide to stitch into everything, including your own children. Smooth move there, man.
Nah, I'm pure steel, with circuits and wires and all that other technical shit. You could call me an artificial intelligence, but the dude that based me off of himself can't really be called intelligent.
no subject
You do not get to pass judgement on what I did or didn't do. Least of all a pair of sunglasses.
no subject
But yeah, who am I, as a shamelessly made copy of someone else, pass judgement on what you did?
Well, who else will?
no subject
My daughters.

No, the last secret I had was revealed thanks to my "dear" wife.
[Bitter? Him? Never.]
