mun is very nervous about dipping toes back in rp world ;;
Rrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmm...?
[Humans are such strange creatures at times. This little one he has found for himself is so skittish, like a rabbit surrounded by wolves. He can't smell or see or hear any danger. What is she so afraid of? Whatever the danger may be, she was part of his forest now, and they would work together.
All he needs to do is reach behind his back to produce his flute and then he's free to play the song he plays for all his new neighbours. Hopefully his human understands the message.]

sorry about the delay dear uvu
Not that he's thinking about that at the moment. Because there is a giant, super fluffy thing that resembles a cat playing a goddamn flute and he is just. Staring in awe. Please forgive the brat his weakness, he likes cute animals.]
...I've never seen a cat that plays music, but if that's the weirdest thing I ever see, I'll die happy. [So endearing is the sight that his dagger's even staying firmly in his boot; how could he be afraid of Totoro when the music is so nice and it's just....so.......fluffy? Nope, just going to stand there, eyebrows raised and a small smile on his face as he listens.]
TOTOBRO OMG NO I LOVE YOU
He finishes the song before he turns to blink at this new one. The forest spirit is silent for a long moment, observing the stranger-human. His writer-human had mentioned the possibility of new friends, and stranger-humans seemed to like names. He doesn't have one, the way the seedlings Mei and Satsuki do, but he decides he'll just do what he did last time.]
Tooohhhhh tohhhhhh roooOOOOHHH! [The last sound comes out as a small roar, but there's a wide smile on his face.]
totobros b4 totohos :')
Which is why he's doing just that. Approaching, with hands out at his sides to show that they're empty.
Dagran's feet nearly stumble over themselves when the giant puffball roars like that; at first, he's terrified and even that smile does nothing to soothe his rattled nerves or teeth.
But it is a smile, and he is still a child; once his ears stop hurting, there's only one thing for it.]
Huh.
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGRAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNN! [Damn straight if he doesn't look proud of himself for that.]
totobro fist (ó ì_í)=óò=(ì_í ò)
Now that introductions were made, he takes a couple of steps closer, the nostrils of his wide nose flaring. It is important business for forest spirits to know how new creatures smell.]
o(‾◡◝*)(* ◜◡‾)o idk what the heck that is but there r my feelings
Hey, Totoro's not people; it's people he hates. Totoros are exempt from his normal sass.]
So you're, er. Toto? Toro? [So close and yet so far, kid.] I guess it fits fair enough. If you got a name and you play music, you must be pretty smart...Do you talk common language?
I am back from the abyss that is school ye
But at the sapling's question he straightens, his ears twitching. Common language. He must mean human language.] Rrrrrm. [He shakes his head slowly, the gesture the girls had taught him meant "no". Humans had been able to understand them once, but that was countless seasons ago.]
Have another forest spirit?
Hello, who are you?
:D Aisliiiiinnnng
Toooooh tooooh ROHHHHHHHHHH! [The roar of the last syllable tears through the air, rustling the tree around them and blowing the other spirit's hair back in a long white stream.]

I am Aisling. Is this your forest? It is different from mine.
sorry for the delay!!
For a moment he plays another song, the song of his forest, but he stops to reach up into the branches near his head. After a bit of rustling and some fallen leaves, he retrieves one of his smaller flutes. He stretches offers it to her in an outstretched claw, grinning. She could follow along if she liked, or perhaps her own forest has a song?]

And OH! HEY LOOK! It's.... well. Not a Snorlax. But something close. At least in size and shape.
Have a cheerful wave, fellow gigantic fluffy thingamabob.]

It's his duty to know all the animals of the forest, especially new ones, so he approaches until he's nose to... face with this one. Very slowly, Totoro raises a paw, then a single long claw and-
pokes the strange creature in the belly. He's never had to do this before, so that should be a good start, shouldn't it?]

[That gets a chuckle out of him. What a funny way to say Hello! Well, better be polite.
He poked Totoro back in roughly the same spot.]
aaa sorry school ate me alive
Totoro takes a couple of steps backwards, to give his new lax friend some room. He squeezes downward into an even rounder shape, before he pops right back up into the air. The ground quakes when he lands, grinning.]
It's all good!
He gathered his big Snorlax feet under neath himself and jumped too. Not quite as high as Totoro. The ground also shook when he landed, and he definitely left a couple of foot print shaped dents in the floor of Dear Mun.]
