on birthdays and aging;
Mademoiselle.
There is a Zulu proverb that goes something like this: Old age doesn't announce itself. It comes creeping in on you from behind like a leopard or a lion and you don't hear it coming until it's become the death of you.
So. You of all people shouldn't ask when I "suddenly" turned 49, since time has a tendency to pass people by... Unnoticed and undetected. Just remember that age is relative and I'm a man in his prime. Hit me up again when the time comes that I'm turning 60 and we can talk about feeling old.
Maybe.
Amicalement,
Claude
