Speaking of things washing over people, I'd like to apologize, on his behalf and my own, for letting our earlier thread lapse. I didn't keep kicking him hard enough, and there were enough things going on in what he laughingly calls his "real life" that "hard enough" would've had to be extra-hard — Christmas shopping, then new chapters coming out just as he'd finished digesting the previous ones...

And he's still doing it to himself; one of his latest side-projects is writing up an application for Néo-san to go into that Hunger Game jamjar. I mention it mainly because, if she gets turned down, the way she's been for three games already, he's thinking of offering me up for their "Reaping" next. -_-

Even though she's got so little time and doesn't even have a game in mind, it's just something she does, like she thinks it's fun. She can't even keep up with a game's pace, so the only character she still has in a game anywhere is some dumb kid called Chili 'cause she's stubborn as hell, even with little-to-nothin' in the way of time. Usually on hiatus. Typical.

Says writin' him is easy 'cause all she has to do is channel my kid self half the time, but I don't buy it. [Hot-headed, loud, impulsive, rude, monkeys...?]

The redesign of Zabimaru is definitely Kubo-kun's work; I'd have been content if she'd stayed confined to omake, but heibon-kun doesn't have strong opinions either way. [Rukia shrugs.] as long as she still functions in battle, I guess that's all that really matters.

He's in the same state about Kino no Tabi as he is with regards to Meitantei Conan — never actually read or watched, but he's aware of it, from when Tokyopop USA and ADV Films, both of honored memory, were translating the light novels and the anime.

That fire-haired boy, Poddo or Chili or whatever name they give him... I can see some resemblance to that other fiery-haired boy I saw one day stealing water jars with his friends, but I think it's a good one. It turns out individual episodes are available from Amazon Instant Video, if he ever remembers to download them. This is where it'd come in handy to have Donighal-hakase's perfect memory, instead of just a very good but still human one.

And even if he fails, he gets points for trying; we never know what we can do until we try, after all. [Politely segue-ing from the elder-days discussion on that note.] Heibon-kun spends a lot of time being afraid to try, for fear of who'll be hurt if he fails; only occasionally does it occur to him to think of who'll be hurt by his inaction. (Besides himself, I mean.)

And he's mostly brought me out for special occasions since our previous thread fizzled; an answer to a meme in Milliways' OOC community, a brief discussion with the living lead of Sankarea... My waking up has him talking about doing the story-posts that get me from meeting Ichigo to his loss of his powers, but we've all heard that before. 9_9 He was getting ready to create a journal for Captain Kurotsuchi to "spare me the embarrassment" of tagging your previous post after a long silence; he's still hearing the Squad 12 captain's voice loudly enough to be thinking in those terms.
