Ya picked a fine episode to watch right there! This is the duel where I use rich boy's own Blue Eyes against him! Not even Yugi's pulled that one off! Heheheh, that was a pretty sweet move! Alright, so your timing sucks and your fangirly sqealing is just plain annoying but your taste in epic duels ain't so bad.

Okay, I'll budge. But just a little. I still ain't goin' to a game where I don't have my friends. And I'm definitely not going anyplace that's stunk up by Kaiba. So pick carefully, ya hear me?

You could always come with me! Um, we had a Yugi-kun before, but I don't know if he's around anymore...

[It's such a relief to be smiled at like that. He hasn't seen any of his friends from back home in awhile.]

Hehe, I could say the same! I haven't seen you since the last time I was at Domino High... [He scratches his cheek as he thinks.] And that was awhile ago!

Right now my mun has me at another school, but it's nothing like the one back home! There's no classes, for one. [Blinks.] Or teachers...or homework. And it's on an island.

I kind of like the no homework bit. And all the free time isn't bad, I've been building a new Monster World set with Rin-chan.

Yeah. Man, I can't even remember what our school looks like, it's been so long. But it sounds like you've scored yourself a pretty sweet deal. No classes, no homework or teachers for that matter. Don't sound half bad.

So uh ... whaddya do there? Just hang out? What else is on this island? [ And then, teasingly; ] And this Rin-chan isn't your new girlfriend, is she?

Ehehe, you could say that. Usually I just explore the island, but sometimes this weird lady talks over the intercom and says cryptic stuff. I don't really get it...I think she's the principal, but I've never seen her.

[He lets out such a suffering sigh~] But sometimes really weird stuff happens, like one time the whole building disappeared! And last week we were totally snowed-in and lost power...

But I-- [Wait a second. Ryou flusters, waving his hands frantically.] N-no! No way, she's not my girlfriend, she's just my roommate!

[WAIT THAT SOUNDED BAD.] I-I mean, there's not enough rooms for everybody to have their own sometimes, and um, all she ate was junk food, so I was just trying to help and maybe make her some meals that weren't junk and I...

[Mumble mumble mumble, now he's just hanging his head as his face glows beat red.]

Weird lady ... cryptic stuff. Yeah, that don't sound too good. And as for buildings disappearin' and bein' snowed in ... Do ya think it's uh, our kind of problem? [ And by 'our' kind, he means the normal crap they get sucked into when Yugi's dark is around. ]

'Cause if that's the case, then I'd better get over there and rally the troops. It's not the first time we've kicked it in the can and it won't be the last.

[ He's just gonna sit back and smirk. Ryou, buddy, you're really landing yourself in it. ]

[ And to think, people referred to him as the canine of the group. He knows what Ryou means but he can't help pushing a little. ]

[Ryou tries to put on a straight face, but his cheeks are still red.]

I'm not sure. All I know is we're trapped there, there's some sort of barrier keeping us in... It might be magic, but it could be something electronic too--

[Waahh, Jou, why do you have to keep teasing him?! Ryou hides his face again, his hair fluffing up against his hands.]

And I'm d-definitely not turning into Otogi... [After the Otogi he saw here yesterday?! Oh god!]

[ So magic aside .... ] Electronic, huh? Is there a chance Kaiba's lurkin' around the joint? If so, there's your culprit. He can't keep any friends with that foul attitude of his, so he has to keep them as hostages, hahaha!

[ Insert obvious joke, because he really doesn't want to think about what it could be. Believe it or not, there are scarier things out there than the ever constipated CEO. Like your freaky darker self, Ryou. Shudder. ]

Heheheh. [ Okay, he'll ease off a little. He's made you blush a fair amount anyway. ] You're too polite to be Otogi. And I don't think you can pull off the leather look.

Kaiba-kun? I don't know, I haven't seen him. You don't really think he'd do something like that, do you?

[Ryou just laughs awkwardly at the leather comment. Seriously, the last thing he was interested in was wearing leather.

In fact, right now he's wearing his overly-modest pullover and a collared polo, so that should say enough.]

...Anyway, I thought Kaiba-kun was still in the hospital.

I thought you enjoyed games.

Although this isn't really the traditional type... Well, I'm sure you can just take it as a challenge. Your mun's surely going to try to torment you either way, so you might as well try to enjoy it just to frustrate them.

Yeah, the right kinda games like Duel Monsters or video games! None of this weird bullshit I've been hearin' about where you get shoved into some crazy world and have to fight monsters and stuff!

Say what?! My mun's gonna torment me?! [ Blink. ] I thought she picked me 'cause she liked me?

But isn't that just like being in a videogame or a TRPG? You just have to approach it with the right view!

[He laughs a little at himself. Right, he totally used the wrong word there.]

Well, maybe 'torment' isn't the right word... hm, how to put this? A lot of muns like their characters, but still enjoy putting them in situations the characters don't like. It's never permanently harming, but it can be kind of annoying.

Well, that fills me with warm fuzzies about the crazy chick in control of that there keyboard. It's already gettin' annoying. How bad did it get for ya?

No, they're totally trying to scare you. You get infinite lives in a lot of the games I've seen! Only sometimes they take stuff away from you or leave you with scars and I did see at least one place that could blind you for a while afterwards...

[He rubs the back of his head ruefully.] ...well, they let the spirit get me incinerated by Ra at one point. And I didn't die. Malik-kun had to look after me for a while out of guilt. But it's usually not that bad. It's normally just annoying stuff like forcing us into dresses or making me get tied up to strangers. I don't go into the North Wing unless I have to. The rooms there are cursed.

Phew. That's a relief. I guess I could deal with a few scars. Hey, if I get one on my face, it might even make me look a little more mysterious and dangerous! But I'm not too hot on the goin' blind thing. And as long as they don't touch my deck or duel disk, they can take whatever!

Ouch. That sucks and uh, you're referrin' to that psycho as Malik-kun? Jeez, what the hell happened there?

[ Mumble. ] As long as it ain't a dog outfit, I really ain't bothered about a coupla dresses.

And he's in some weird sort of relationship with the spirit of the Millennium Ring, so they won't let me move out or anything. So we've been trying to get along as best we can considering the circumstances. It's kind of troublesome, but he's been tolerable.

[He drops his voice to a hushed whisper.]

He's really spoilt though. And super bossy.

I don't think anyone's been forced into animal costumes yet.

Looks like being forced to wear animal costumes are the least of my worries if I wind up there.

I don't remember much of Battle City, actually. I was kind of asleep for most of it. I only really remember waking up facing down Osiris...

[He shakes his head slowly in frustration. Ryou has no clue what Malik did during that time. And Malik hasn't bothered to clarify any of it. If he had any idea, he'd be a lot less comfortable with the fact they share a bedroom.

...To be fair, he hadn't told him any details about what sort of relationship it was, but it's at least nice that someone's worried.]

Honestly, I don't know if I'm safe or not. Malik acts like he wants to be my friend, but he's also a major, major jerk. But he hasn't hurt me intentionally yet or anything.

Anyway, Henry's teaching me how to use a sword and the spirit's got me carrying his knife most days, so I'm at least able to defend myself if he does do anything too bad. And I've made a few friends who'll at least try to keep Malik in check if he goes crazy again. One of them's already killed him once.

Goodness, isn't that a bit unfair? Admittedly, my descendant is many things... stubborn, foolhardy, a blemish on my reputation... but smelly? Surely that can't be true.

[Rosenkreuz's family smells like roses, god damn it. White ones.]

[ Okaaay. So this guy walks like a Kaiba, talks like a Kaiba and yep, he's got the same disdainful look as Kaiba so what the hell is this descendant crap? ]

[He said he claimed to have bested one, yes. That doesn't mean he believes him, and in fact was sarcastically implying just the opposite from comparing it to his failure. The poor boy doesn't even realize he's being insulted.... then again, the Kaiba he knows is far more direct with his derision than the silver-tongued Rosenkreuz. He'll just keep it to himself.]

You'd have to add several more greats, if that was your approach. I am from the year 1485... had I not met him personally, I'd be completely unaware he existed. Our relation, therefore, is thankfully quite distant.

I've missed you too! My Mun's not been feeling well, so I haven't been doing a lot except trying to make her feel better.

But she says if you end up going where I am, then she'll find a way to post me around more!

[ Just give it time. He'll sniff it out. ]

You've been doing what? Heh, that's just like you, Yugi. I hope she's treatin' you well for your trouble. Mine's bein' difficult. [ Pause. ] Where are you anyway? Is it safe, you okay there?

And I dunno what's happening with me yet. I've just been hearin' threats about love hotels and places without cheeseburgers.

[He really, really hopes Jou doesn't. He doesn't want to explain that. At least he can't see the scar at the knee joint unless he yanks off Yugi's pants.]

She's been really trying. She went and looked up a way to duel online with her friends and keeps talking about making decks for me and stuff like that. But I think when she feels bad, we sometimes just make things worse, so I've been trying to let her just play what she wants to and zone out.

[Like hearing the Mario & Luigi music from her 3DS right now.]

I'm at a place called The Campus. I think you're already talking to some other people from there, including Ryou -- well, both of them. And... I'm okay! Really.

[Whoa hey! Yugi gives a surprised yelp as he's suddenly got an arm around his shoulder, trying to pull his sleeve back down.]

There's someone named Malik-kun there, though I don't know him well. There was a girl with bright white hair who seemed to know about duel monsters, but I didn't know her and she didn't seem to know any of us, though she was Ryou-kun's friend. Kaiba-kun was there and Pegasus-san too, but I don't know if they still are. Mokuba-kun probably left with Kaiba-kun.

The Black Magician was there! He was an actual person originally, and he taught me how to call him and everything! His name is Mahad, and he's really friendly. I don't know if he's still there, though... I did learn how to use some magic from him, so I can summon duel monsters out of their cards now if they aren't too strong!

There was also a Joey there. Mun says he was from the dub, and that you seem to be both, so... a you? Kind of.

[Of course she's happy to see you again, why wouldn't she be?]

[Oh, kind of a ...different version of the Yuugi you're used to, Jounouchi. She hopes that you don't mind.]

[ Blink. ]

Uh, Yug'. Why do ya seem a little different? [ He can't quite figure it out. After frowning for several moments, he just shrugs and grins. Same old cutesy face and attitude. He ain't complaining. ]

A little... different? Different how? [She doesn't feel any different. Still short and tiny in all ways, still has that wild hair, same old pink Domino blazer and blue skirt. Nope, nothing different on this end. Still, can't help that little squeak and giggle at having her hair ruffled.]

I'm okay. My mun has mainly been hanging around memes and such with Ryou-chan. We don't have an official game yet, but we don't mind. It's fun to see our friends again in various places.

How about you?

[She's just going to tilt her head at him a bit, considering what he's saying. It's... weird words and notions, to be sure. But she does know one thing, and that's how these mun creatures work.]

If you complain that will only compel them to do worse. Trust me.

Treated right... Well, she tries the best she can with me. At least she's kind enough not to inflict awful trauma upon me like she does to some others. Something about my having enough of that in my life without her adding to it. It's a relief, even if it may come off a bit insulting.
