[ on musebox encounters ]

Really? What on earth could have given you the idea that I'm not fond of these robots? Surely not their utter defiance of nature, oh, no; nor their unnerving, soulless eyes. I've met reanimated corpses with more humanity in them than these mechanical friends of yours. I want nothing to do with them! Particularly the ones telling us where we can and cannot go, herding us about like sheep.

I'll participate in this mess, but don't expect me to be kind.

You're rather quick to pass judgement for a witch. [That is one amused smirk.] We don't even know anything about them yet. And what of the robots that were pulled here just like we were?

[She could tell him otherwise, but he'd know the lie before she said it.]

They're... unnerving, yes. But not all of them can be completely empty. There's an energy there. Not mystical, but physical and real. Then again, I'm still not sure you completely trust my ipod as it is...

I'd much rather just go home than pick a fight.

We haven't even tried yet! Don't discount my infectious, and often misguided, optimism.

And what do you think of Findlay. Can we trust him? Can we trust anyone? Should we even bother?! ... They might need our help.

Good. An ally, then.

[She's quiet for a moment. Not unusual with Rhiannon, but the silence is a heavy one.] Whatever happens, I don't think I can go through that again. Please stay close. Just until we've figured things out.

Yeah, because humans never have a creepy-eyes-bossiness problem. Nature is icky and impractical, it needs defying.

Hell, eyes. There you go. A little ball of fluid and gelatin installed with its nerves backwards and a blind spot, seated precariously inside a bony socket and guarded by two tiny flaps of skin, and if there's the slightest damage your optical input is permanently damaged Eyes are icky. [But tell us how you really feel, Alice.]
