Not all of your freedom fighters may care about freedom, depending when and where they're from.

He's apparently Sonic from another dimension. He goes by the name "Scourge".

He's unlike the Sonic I know as well. There are many alternate realities that can be brought here, and the people within won't always carry the same ideals.

As for multiple originals, they can be from different points in time... For example, I have met a version of myself that was from my own future.

At the time I refused to acknowledge it, but I have since passed that point in continuity.

Well, I've been there, done that. Though my younger self didn't know it at the time. [Considering how young she was, it was probably for the better.]

I haven't had the chance to meet a less experienced version of myself yet... Every time I meet another me, it's always from my future. I've dealt with time travel enough that I know it's not the best to see what becomes of the future... But I suppose here it can't be helped.

If you cound different continuities as well as their own future timelines, there are endless possibilities for worlds and people.

I'd rather not meet all of my different selves, but I'll deal with that when the time comes.

[Sally chuckles a bit.] We grew up together. Sonic's Uncle Chuck worked for my father.

[Sally smiles a bit.] Well, the parts that Robotnik hasn't touched are beautiful...lush forests, clean waterfalls, fresh air...we all live in Knothole, a secret village hidden from Robotnik and his drones.

... I'm a bit afraid to ask but... what about the parts he has touched?

[Sally sighs.] Luckily--depending on how you look at it--most of what Robotnik touches ends up being pulled inward--into Robotropolis.

Given, the place has been rendered defunct since Project Doomsday, but I'm not about to rest on my laurels thinking that we've seen the last of him.

More or less. We corrupted it, make it inoperable, but it's only a matter of time, if you ask me...
