No one cared about me until I put that mask on. Really! Just that fairy boy that gave me that skull mask some time ago, and that's the last anyone really cared. He was a good friend though. I didn't mean to hurt him or anyone else. It was that stupid mask's fault. What was it called again? Majora's Mask? Oh well. The fairy boy put a stop to it, so everyone's safe now!

Oh! You want to be friends too? I'd like that! Do you know Saria's Song? Why don't you play it with me!

[Skull Kid visually perked up, flute in hand.]

[Grinning, sort of, he brought the flute to his beak and began to play.]

[Link can tell when he's smiling, so it's okay. He returns the smile, and lifts the ocarina and joins in with the Skull Kid's song.

He's glad to see that the Skull Kid seems to be doing okay. It's relieving, and comforting. And it's relaxing to play with someone like this again.]

[They play for a while, or so it seemed, before Skull Kid brings the flute away from his beak.]

and he may be side-eying that thread with Ganon, because if he decides to be too huge of a dick he might not be able to resist stepping in]

She's not so bad. She says she'll help me make friends, if I'd like. Apparently she has ideas for some 'games'? I'm not quite sure what she means though.

[Link was in a game with a Ganon once, okay. They made a pact of sorts at one point, but still, he can't help but be paranoid. Besides, it's Ganon. So, it's not that Link thinks that the Skull Kid can't handle... He just worries about his friends.]

She means, places where you can go to meet people. The muns call them "games" because it's fun for them. It's not always fun for us, though. It's not always bad, either. But you should know, just in case.

Has she told you what they're like? The ones she's got ideas for.

She's told me about a few she's sent some of her muses too? I think that's what she calls them.. Us.. erm..

Anyway. One is apparently this really big tower. There's a lot of people there, but she's not sure about it. Something about not being really safe? And then another requires you falling down a rabbit hole?

[Poor Kid is confused. So many places in this Mundane's head.]

She keeps looking for more though. [He shrugs.]

[At the mention of the tower, Link's face visibly darkens.]

That tower -- I hope that's not the one she picks. I've been there. It's true, I made good friends, but... [He starts shaking his head, and has trouble stopping. No, no, no, no. No more tower for any of his friends. No, no, no. Not again.]

I really hope she finds somewhere else.

[So, this is the infamous Skull Kid he's heard so much about. A scoff escapes his throat. Here comes Ganondorf to be a condescending jerk.]

Perhaps it is because you are insignificant. A mere puppet for those more powerful.

I'm not insignificant! The mask couldn't have done anything without me in the first place.

[Skull Kid lets out an impish laugh of his own.]

If you have something so much stronger, then why are you stuck here?
