Mary Morstan never intended to kill me. She is an expert marksman, and the shot to my chest was clearly not a kill shot. Had she intended to kill me, her shot would have been a fatal blow to the head, and she would not have called for help. But if you would prefer, I could explain that in any number of ways until you understand that your feelings of dislike towards her are unjustified.
Honestly, I don't understand your displeasure. You should be pleased with how she turned out - clever, dangerous, intelligent. It shouldn't be surprising why John married her, and continues to stay with her.
As for our so-called final goodbye... John knows how I feel about him. No sense in 'beating a dead horse,' as the idiotic phrase goes. I do not yet have enough information about Moriarty's return to yet make valid deductions, as you are well aware. I witnessed him shoot himself in the head, and even an idiot knows there is no coming back from that. A clip of Moriarty on the telly could easily have been recorded prior to his death. That everyone is panicking and my brother called me back after a mere four minutes proves Moriarty's trick had its proper effect.
They really should have known better than to attempt to send Sherlock Holmes on a suicide mission.
