Just be glad that there aren't twenty-two each time. [Granted, this is a split of one season, but it's usually not and won't be again!]

That just gives them more chances to have horrible cliff-hangers. Winter Hiatus. Holiday breaks. Mid-Season Hiatus. We forgot about this miscellaneous sporting event hiatus. [Supernatural is the KING of horribly timed hiatuses... that are only three episodes apart sometimes!!]

Those are much worse than quick bursts of a handful of episodes.

[ he pauses, then cocks his head in acknowledgement ]

Alright, you've got a point. But this is still kind of like— feeding a starving dog in small bursts. They're always wanting more than they're gonna get.

Maybe the thought is as long as they don't puke on the carpet, they'll let 'em eat as fast as they want.
