super tentative voice testing
Come on now love, what's with the pussyfooting around? 'Super tentative?' Don't be shy, nobody ever did nothin' by hiding under a table instead of putting themselves out there. It's all about confidence, see.
Now me, I've always been a man who believes in making his own way and to hell with the naysayers. That's an approach you should be taking if you think you've got what it takes to handle me, make no mistake.
'Course, I could say something about you not being woman enough to take on a man like me in any case, but I reckon if I did the consequences'd be tedious enough to make me regret my tactlessness, so I'll just be over here on my tod waiting for you to make up your mind.
...but if you'd be kind enough to furnish me with a skinful of something to make a rum time of it while you decide, I'll be on my best behaviour. Captain's honour.

[Confident bluster doesn't get one very far as an Assassin, at any rate.]

It is not an accusation, but truth. I am already familiar with you, even if you are not with me, Captain.

Are you now? And how would you go about knowing a thing like that when I've not even introduced myself?

bam adopted great-granddaughter
If you are waiting, let's play together!

What sort of games do you have in mind, lass?

Ah, fighting's no good. Land-dwellers are weak, right? You could get hurt. [ She says it in a matter-of-fact, cheerful way and moves on too fast to be interrupted. ] Let's tell stories instead. You can go first, uncle.

You're much too sweet of a little thing to be talkin' about play fighting. Shouldn't you be dressing up dolls or putting on a pretty frock or two? But I know a tale or two, what sort of story are you after?
no subject
Doll..? I'm too young to be a shaman, uncle. [ Silly Edward, dolls aren't for kids. But even as she laughs at the suggestion, she appreciates the thought. She thinks, and brightens again. ] A story about your home!

[Though please, if Kidd can handle you, you're not that much a lost cause.]
Considering I can deal with your sorry arse plenty of times without a problem, I'm sure you'll manage. Besides, if I remember right, you always did love a challenge.

[Well. More of a disappointment. Details, details.]
Besides Kidd, I didn't know you paid that much attention to my arse. I'm flattered.

[Edward. Edward. Can't you just be happy with what you have :c She believes in you to make the right choices but you've got to change direction in the way you're going.]
Oh Jaysus, Kenway. I haven't been lookin' at your arse, don't be usin' my words against me.
[Though it's with a smile and amusement. You stupid sod, you're gonna get your tongue cut off one day if you're not careful.]
no subject
[Here you go buddy, have a cheeky wink from your favourite hopeless case.]
What brings you 'round these parts anyway? I'da thought the fearsome James Kidd would have better things to than to compliment me on my talent for vexing female parties. Can't be that you're shopping for somewhere to go too?
