Mundane. Dear Lady Mundane.
I would not seek to condemn Gimli to this castle, pleased as I am sure he would be to see the Lady Galadriel again. And I admit that I would be glad of his company. His is a far more pleasant presence than that of Thorin Oakenshield.
Nor are you being so subtle as you think you are.

[ she is mildly amused, though. ]
It is a wonder this castle has not been torn asunder yet if you are confined within its walls with that dwarf.

[Legolas can't help a faint grin of his own. He's been very careful to avoid Thorin. Even though their rooms are in the same hallway.]
I fear the castle would punish me were I to try.

[ she would avoid him, too. he's a foul-tempered little dwarf. but she isn't speaking to thorin now, and so she feels free to smile. it is so good to see him. ]
Is this a magical place, that it would be capable of punishing you, Mellon?

[Hangovers suck, by the way.]

That must have been, ah, interesting.
[ ok, trolling is over. ]
Yet here you are, hale and healthy. I am glad for that.

[He admits it's kind of funny though. Galadriel wasn't wrong when she said that it was a fitting change for him.]
I am glad for it as well.

[ things are always funny when they happen to somebody else. but it is also a good change for him. the lady galadriel was right. ]
I would have done the same for you, had I been there.

[He smirks and it's the tiniest bit cocky.]
I know that you would have. Thank you, Tauriel.

I was not aware that you had discovered some charm on your travels.
[ she's missed this easy-going camaraderie between them. a lot.
rather than smirk, she gives him a small, but fond smile. ]
Good. You are always welcome.
no subject
I have always been perfectly charming. Clearly you've mistaken me for someone else~
I certain have more charm than the dwarves.
no subject
Oh, have you? My apologies. I may very well have mistaken you for someone else.
[ like one of those surly dwarves. whoops! her grin widens. ]
There we can definitely agree, Mellon.

[That was in the movie though and Legolas knows better than to let an orc get the one-up on him.]

The castle belongs to none but itself. It is alive and wields a magic greater than anything in Middle Earth.

And I'm the king under the mountain.

Lovely perhaps but it is not without difficulty adjusting to walking on four legs and then upon two once again when the loss was ended.
[smirks]
I'm sure you'd not be able to handle it yourself.

[Gimli as a fawn. He'd PAY to see that.]

No, perhaps you are right. I'm not sure you're graceful enough to be a fawn, my friend.
