Muse isn't happy with Mun's new fixation

Why is it that when you have a bad day, I end up like this?  This doesn't do either one of us any good.  No one's going to be interested in talking to me when I'm a foot shorter even if I'm just 'depowered' instead of being in the Forties.  We both know I can deal with being this size but do we really need to do this again?  And you know better than to think about one of those games when I'm like this.  They probably wouldn't even let me in.

Muns seem to think like that but I don't know about everyone else. I'm not as useful like this.

As difficult as it's been for me to understand this, usefulness isn't always obvious. You don't have to be a warrior to serve a purpose.

Sometimes the little guy can surprise you. I'm still a warrior, even when I'm like this, but being taller makes it easier to get people to believe that. In those games, the time it'd take for them to realize it could get people hurt.

I said 'so far'. It's supposed to be but my mun likes 'depowering' me since it happened in the comic books.

[Steve still isn't sure what to think of this 'Winter Soldier' stuff since his mun's trying to avoid spoilers.]

[Bucky's still not sure what to think about it either, and his mun has been diving headfirst into spoilers for some time now. He is sure, though, that he really doesn't want to go through it.]

Tell you the truth, I wouldn't mind all that much either. Someone's gotta watch out for you, whether you're a skinny little punk or not.

[Steve already knows he's not going to be happy about any of this since he knows about the comics, but he's hoping that he can avoid some of it until the movie comes out.]

That mean that you're not just from after... [After Steve failed his best friend.] ...the war? Sometimes I've seen you - or versions of you - in these comms but they seem to be from after everything happens in New York.

Last thing I remember's falling off a train in the Alps. [The way he says it makes it clear enough--he doesn't really blame Steve all that much for it, if at all.] But I've heard enough here and there that I'm pretty sure I got the gist of it.

[Then, lightly:] You know, I figured that if aliens did exist, they'd be landing in New Jersey first, not head to New York right off the bat.

My mundane wishes for me to inform you, sir, that he knows of one such game that would take you if your 'canon point' was you at your current size. However, I individually would like to express the fact that it really does not matter what the size of a person is. It is what they have done with their lives. And from what my mundane has told me you have done things that are very impressive.

I'm not sure if she'll actually put me in a game from this canon point, but she'd like suggestions for games. [A blush creeps across his face at the mention of the things he's done, but he looks pleased.] I don't know how impressive those things are but it's good to know some people realize size doesn't matter.

Being like this doesn't change who I am. It just means I have to be more creative than when I'm taller.

If she does, my mun wishes to recommend thewake. That said, I do not understand the mentality that a person's worth or usefulness can be gauged by their size. Most of the best people I have met here are not much to look at. It's in their actions you see their goodness.

I understand. It would be like taking me away from all of my technology.

My mun looked into that place, but she wasn't sure about the activity. I don't think she'd have a problem with me lacking my powers, but we're not sure how other muns would feel about it. It might be disappointing when they get a gerbil instead of a super soldier.

I'd probably deal with no serum and no strength, but I'd miss having my shield. I don't think my mundane's cruel enough to take that away from me if she's going to dump me in a place without my friends.

My mun has a muse there. The people are very willing to help create things you have lost. In addition, your power, both physically and otherwise, is equivalent to your willpower there, which means that logically, you should be able to do very well there regardless of physical form. Perhaps, if I may be so bold, sir, you are the one focusing too much on your physical abilities. It may take a few weeks to get you up to normal, but it would hardly be impossible.

In any case, my mun is otherwise out of suggestions, as he is rather new to DreamWidth RP. I apologize, sir.

How do you adjust? [It's an honest question, if blunt.] It can't be easy, going from one thing to another.

It's hard at first, but I was like this longer than I had the serum. There's times when I think I should be this size so it's not so bad adapting to it. It's how other people deal with it that's usually a problem.

My mun recently read a story where you stepped out of that chamber looking the same as when you went in. Everyone thought the procedure was a flop ... until they realized that you could bend steel bars. She thought that was an interesting take on things.
