Yes another addition to the bandwaggon! Sherlock spoilers, you know how it goes
I agree with you, I think this is going to be good for him. Sherlock being back. Not as good for him as I am, of course but then that goes without saying.
[Mary raises an eyebrow slightly.]
And I know you're not feeling 100% and you're lazy but would it kill you to make me more than the one icon I have? It's not hard to find screencaps. Thank you.

Well, I do try. But no you don't need to tell me that. I'm not saying that it's nice to hear it though. Maybe you could tell me a little more often.

Is that a promise?

And I am grateful for... [He clears his throat nervously and makes an awkward gesture.]

(She's teasing of course. Sherlock is the last person anyone would call an idiot...when it comes to most things anyway. She raises one brow at his next comment but the small smile is still there and she nods her head.)
For everything? You're welcome.

[God, he's rubbish at this. He knows he is, but he hates it being so obvious. But, her last comment earns her "The Lookâ˘"]
No. ... I mean... With John.
[With everything ha! Don't get cocky, Mary, that's Sherlock's job.]
no subject
(And he did, thank God. Oh, the first time she's getting The Look. What a privilege. She'll be getting plenty more of them, I'm sure. To be honest, that's kind of what she meant by 'everything' but if he wants to be picky...)
Yes, I know what you meant Sherlock. And you're still welcome.

People don't like me.
[Meaning, he knows Mary likes him and he doesn't understand why.]

[There's a pause as Mary smiles at John, tilting her head to the side a little. She wants to hear it from your lips, John. Just because.] Come on, let's hear it then.
no subject
You are the best thing that's happened to me, Miss Mary Morstan.
no subject
Mmm, I know. And I'll never get tired of hearing it either. Maybe I should get that printed on a t-shirt. What do you think?
no subject
I got a better idea.
[ But then he holds up a hand, making it seem like a grand gesture. ]
Don't ask what it is. It's a surprise.
[ Having something like that engraved on the inside of of her wedding ring was going to cost a bit of money but he was willing to pay it off in installments if he had to. ]

The laziness of these mundanes has no limits, I'm afraid.
And he did shave his mustache off for me, you know.
no subject
No? Well, she did manage to listen to me...kind of. Then of course she went back to being as lazy as ever so it didn't last very long at all. We can always hope though.
[She'll smile a little at that. Sorry, John.] I suppose I should thank you for that. I'm not sure when I would have plucked up the courage to tell him I didn't like it.
no subject
[He frowns a bit, a thought occurring to him.] John isn't thinking about making Sherlock his best man or anything, is he?
no subject
...I think that's a question you'll have to ask John.
[But...yes. The answer is probably yes.]
no subject
Yeah. Sherlock just isn't exactly what I'd consider... bestman material. I can't imagine what the stag night will be like... and the bestman speech. Huh. [He frowns, getting lost in his thoughts for a moment, of the horror it might be. But Lestrade shakes himself, and puts on a bit smile for her.] I'm sure it will be a lovely wedding.
no subject
That wouldn't stop John asking him though, I'm afraid. At least it will be interesting? Oh and I'm sure there will be some kind of drama, there always is at weddings. At least that's what I'm told, I haven't really been to many of them myself.

He wasn't too mean to you, I hope?

[Mary hasn't known Molly for very long but she likes the girl already. I mean what's not to like, she seems sweet. She'll laugh a little at her last comment, shaking her head.]
No different to how he treats everyone else, I'm sure. But I like him.
