[ She proceeds to cheer until her mun says something, and then she stops and visibly deflates. ] What'dya mean you haven't even sent an application in!?

There can be great codfishes. But they are few and far between.

But some are six feet tall and walk on two legs.

Do you mean Captain Hook, ma'am? Mama doesn't speak fondly about him.

Fewer still speak of him at all, these days.

Papa still speaks of him. But he's never speaking harshly about Captain Hook like Mama does. Maybe it's because Papa knew Captain Hook longer.

Yeah! Papa's Peter Pan, after all! He ruled Neverland a long time ago. Before I was born.

"Ruled Neverland" is a matter of opinion.

Mama said the same, but Papa insists he was the King of Neverland, so Mama and I just smile and agree with him.

Papa's pleased with most things. That's one of the traits I love about him. No matter what Mama and I do, he always treats us like princesses.

Oh! Wait! Don't you want to see Mama and Papa? You haven't seen them since Mama and Papa left Neverland.

The…past? [ That's odd. ] But you're right here, Princess. And so am I.

[ She blinks at Tiger Lily with her big blue eyes. Big and blue like her mother's. ]

[She smiles.]

[ She smiles back, but it's a little bittersweet. ]
