Joins the bandwagon.
Yes, fine, so he still can't get my bloody name right. I was just a bit... overcome with emotion there.
[Groan.] God, Anderson is going to be telling me I told you now, isn't he? Well, that's something to look forward to, then.
What do you mean, I sounded jealous of Molly and that new bloke of hers? Tom, was it? When have I ever shown any of that sort of interest in Molly Hooper? She's a lovely girl, but clearly she's moving on from her... thing for Sherlock. I'm happy for her.
And yes, I'm looking forward to John and Mary's wedding. He deserves it, and she seems like a fine lady.

There's... [he clears his throat] ...A reason why I don't remember your name, Inspector. And I could tell you, but I'd have to kill myself first and since that's so two years ago, I'd rather not.
[He really is absolute rubbish at this.]

[He's very happy to see you, too, he's just trying to play it cool now, that he's got the hug out of the way.]
no subject
It wasn't bad you know....
[The hug, not that he can say that part.]

John told me, by the way, about the French waiter bit? I can't believe you thought that would go over well with him.
no subject
Not what I was talking about. God, has everyone forgotten everything I taught them in the measly two years I was away?
[They weren't measly. Not even for Sherlock, which is why he has to push it so hard. Be over happy. Be overly amusing. Overly impressive. Overly a dick, but that's only John's place to critique.]

What if everyone knew I was alive - what I was doing and I just... never came back because I died while I was away. Wasn't this way kinder?
[He tries - he has some sense of a moral code.]
no subject
Anderson, too. You drove the poor man absolutely nutters.
no subject
[More quietly.]
Killed you.
Was I just supposed to let that happen‽
[Sherlock's getting annoyed now. How is he supposed to learn this 'human nature' stuff, when the rules keep changing.]
no subject
[He sighs, then shrugs.]
Couldn't you have, I don't know, just gotten word to him that you weren't dead?
no subject
[Sherlock sniffs once (it's not from the chill) - "Shut up, Lestrade!"]
I... I thought about it, so many times. But with Moriarty's Network still out there - I couldn't chance it.
no subject
Anderson really miss you too, you know. It was rather worrying, I admit.
no subject
Had there been any other way...
[But then Lestrade mentions Anderson and Sherlock's eyebrow goes up.]
Well, everything about Anderson is.... Wait. He what?
no subject
And she's more than fine.
no subject
I'm sure she is. I like her, John. Congratulations.

[ You're a bro, Greg. ]
I mean maybe one day he'll remember your name.
no subject
Ah. I wouldn't hold my breath. That's just him, innit?
no subject
I guess, yeah.
[ Shrug. ]
If you're fine with it.
no subject
You know, just glad he's back.
no subject
Yeah, me too.

[She smiles, but then hears how her words sound and backtracks.] I-I don't mean us like us us but, uh, all of us who know Sherlock and..all that.
[Yeahhh she's just going to stop talking right now.]
no subject
It's okay, Molly. I know what you meant.
Tom seems like a good bloke, though. I'm happy for you.
no subject
Blimey, I'm sorry, I'm gushing again. I-I keep doing that.
no subject
Just might make a bloke feel a bit jealous, that's all. Not jealous of you and him, I mean, just... jealous in general, yeah? [awwwkward]
HAVE I MENTIONED I SHIP GREG/MOLLY AND I'M NOT SURE I TRUST THIS TOM FELLOW
THAT'S OK I SHIP THEM, TOO. ALSO I DON'T TRUST TOM OR MARY TO BE HONEST.
I REALLY LIKE MARY, I THINK SHE'S JUST GOT SKELETONS IN HER CLOSET
Too bad the case didn't amount to anything.
Re: I REALLY LIKE MARY, I THINK SHE'S JUST GOT SKELETONS IN HER CLOSET
Did you know it turned out to be Anderson the whole time? He told me, said Sherlock figured out and he felt guilty about it.
no subject
My god, he's really gone off the deep end hasn't he?
no subject
no subject
Oh, that's nice. Thanks, Sherlock.
no subject
You must admit---I did try.

You don't solve all my cases, you know.
