Canon is space vampires in robots aka Valvrave the Liberator: voice test
As expected, you merely demand without allowances. Any negotiation attempts between us shall prove to be futile. [To his displeasure] Even if the nature of our contract does not favor me, at least consider to practice my voice more often and study the basics of war strategy to have a solid grasp on my characterization. My current evaluation may be of your interest:
Experience: E.
Icons: C [note: consider more variety of expression in your choices].
Source Knowledge: B+.
Extra Knowledge [German, Military Tactics, Geopolitics]: D.
Voice: Full judgment pending.
Given your current low proficiency, you should delay any serious applications. Fleetingness. Procrastination. Lack of Discipline. This leads me to believe I would not need to worry about lasting prisons that would prove a hurdle to my plans.

It is good to see you again, Michael. Though don't you think you're being a bit too hard on her?
1/3 SHRIEK I love you

And yet, here she is... as if the world lit up suddenly ahead of me. ]

This kind of evaluation should be of interest and benefit her during future endeavours.
ahh i'm glad you didn't mind me tagging you!! i'm so happy to see someone playing l-elf!
she can sense that there's more he wishes to say to her, but since he has not yet broached the subject, she doesn't say anything about it, instead trying to keep a light tone as she replies. ]
I just hope she doesn't feel overwhelmed by the expectations you've set.
of course I don't mind! I love her <3<3<3
Her self-esteem isn't so fragile. That was considered when I studied her attributes. Lieselotte... I...
[He gives a pause and his face grimaces momentarily. He doesn't want to openly display any pain that still torments him. That will not be productive.]
Tokishima Haruto told me you were a Magius. [Why didn't you tell me? He doesn't ask her that. It's foolish and childish. There was simply no time and she was probably trying to protect him. But if he had known this, he would have tried to rescue her in a different way. She wouldn't have to die that day. It was still his fault for acting so reckless. He lowers his head but keeps his gaze in hers to claim sincerely.] I wanted you to know that my feelings won't change because of that.
sdlfk yay! ♥♥
his next words come as much more of surprise, however, and she looks up at him with uncertainty. he still loves her, even knowing what she is? the thought fills her with warmth, but she tries to contain it and not to let it show on her face. it seems too good to be true, and that is why she must make sure. ]
But... [ lieselotte pauses and inhales deeply, looking down at her hands before continuing. first things first. ] I am sorry for not telling you, and also for misleading you. ... I was so very happy when you said you loved me, and to hear you say that you still feel that way brings me much joy. But are you sure?
This body is not mine by right. I possessed it after consuming the life of this girl, just as I consumed numerous other humans in the past. [ her voice begins to waver as she speaks, but she steadies herself, her hands now squeezing the fabric of her garments. remembering the lives she's taken is painful for her, but she cannot deny or undo it, and she owes it to l-elf to be completely honest with him. ] I do not have a true body at all, and I have lived much longer than you through the bodies of humans I took over. I am responsible for many deaths. [ she raises her head to meet his eyes and asks him again in a quieter voice. ] Are you truly sure you can love one such as me?

He should have been able to tell she was older than six when they met if he hadn't been so immersed in her kindness that blinded her to her true anguish. Continuing his simulations for a scenario he realized this was futile, he has accepted his mistake. He will atone for her loss. ] You were worried I would judge you for ending lives in order to live? Lieselotte, do you know how many I have killed so I would survive? [ He attempts to lift their hands, entwine their fingers together. Who else but he can understand that? He had to kill even a friend so he could live another day. He had to kill every day as regular routine when he was a Karlstein student. Kill, kill, kill. A mantra drilled in his system by Cain. ] These hands that are holding yours have also taken countless of lives. If being a murderer makes me unworthy of love, I can accept my punishment. But I only wanted to live what was left of my life together with the woman I love. You can laugh at me for my ambition.
[ He looks away sheepishly and awkwardly. It always seemed so embarrassing to confess. It was irrational, but he doesn't care. He loves her. Nothing can change that. ]

his hands around hers may be capable of killing, but they are also a comfort to her, and when he starts to lace their fingers together she meets him halfway and holds tight. ] I would never laugh at you. Please, don't say you are unworthy of love. I— [ here she pauses, biting her lip gently, for a moment unsure of how to best express herself. this talk of love is still so foreign to her, but she pushes herself to speak all the same.
this was her last regret, something she only truly realized moments before her death. ] Though I admit that I do not fully understand this emotion... I have grown to care for you deeply. Your life is very precious to me, and I wish for you to be safe, always. As you said before, we have only met a few times, and our conversations have been brief, but they are my most cherished memories.

His grip is firm but he tries to be gentle. He knows little of gentleness in life, but when he's with her, he tries his best to mind his strength and crude gestures. Her mere presence makes him disarmed and vulnerable. All his self-control is strip away by her sight. ]
I understand. I didn't expect you to return my feelings. [ He admits and his expression shifts into a soft smile. That she's struggling to understand "love" for his sake is more than he expected in the first place. To live a life with her had been his greatest aspiration, only to ensure she is safe and sound, without pretending more. He would have settled to die in exchange of her freedom and happiness as well. ] Lieselotte...I... [He bends closer to her touch when she reaches out. He's mindful of her height too, it would have destroyed the atmosphere if she had to stand on the tip of her toes to touch his cheek. ] We can still keep that dream. We can at least meet here. [ His voice is quieter, pleading with his gaze. ]

Truthfully, not long ago, neither did I. Or rather, I didn't think it was possible for me... a Magius. But when I spoke to Haruto Tokishima, I began to think differently. He was very adamant that I not see it as impossible for you and I to be in love. [ she isn't sure if haruto let him in on that part of their chat or not, but she wouldn't be surprised if he hadn't mentioned it; he seemed like a modest boy.
lieselotte appreciates l-elf leaning down for her, and she lightly caresses his face before pulling away to hold his hand again. ] Yes... that's true. We can talk as much as we like in this place. [ as long as their muns are willing, at least. still, it's exciting to think that they can spend time together without soldiers coming after either of them, that for once they can have peaceful moments, just the two of them. ]

His expression falls for a second at the mention of Tokishima Haruto. He spoke on his behalf to her? It makes him feel inwardly ashamed when he had punched him and attempted to sabotage his relationship in return, but...he can't take that back, he can't mend his mistakes anymore.]
Just as expected as someone as foolishly sweet like he was. [ he murmurs with a small smile, inhaling sharply to purge his sadness and tension. Undoubtedly, the circumstances reminded him to his own love problems. ] He never told me about that. He was a... good friend of mine.
[ He squeezes her hand in appreciation for the caress on his cheek. He's still unused to gentleness. When he feels someone's hand on his face, the expected reflect is to dodge an incoming fist. He does his best to school his instinct and relax with her. ] She has time and she desires my full cooperation. This is a way to keep me less unhappy.

Was? [ then... as she puts the pieces together, sorrow spreads across her face. sorrow for haruto, who was still so young, but also for l-elf; realizing that he had to suffer not just her death but haruto's as well makes her heart ache. ] Oh, Michael. I'm so sorry.
no subject
He wants to comfort her, but he doesn't dare to pull her into an embrace yet. ]
Lieselotte... [ He shakes his head, wishing he could ease her sorrow and his. ] He died a hero's death and I will continue where he left of. [ His voice wavers, torn by pain. He tries to picture his smiling face that's at least a good last memory he has of his old friend. ] I will build a place we can share and coexist.

what he says next gives her pause — he's talking about her dream for her race and humanity, her wish for the two species to find peace together. since he knew about her and the magius, it follows that he would know about that too, but she's still surprised to hear him mention it. her mind flashes back to their second meeting, the two of them huddled against an overturned car, surrounded by snow and fallen soldiers. ] You're going to create a path?
no subject
She's so holy to him. She shines in a light that is not the Magius green glow. He assents, his resolve restored. ]
Yes, a haven. The Module is small, but it will be defended as the home of those who want to share it. It is no longer affiliated with JIOR.
[ It'll be a long, bloodied fight. ARUS already exterminated the Council of 101 but those who wishes for peace, like Prue and Pino, are welcome. ]
This will take long, but I will see it done.
no subject
I have faith in you. And I'm grateful that you're willing to give my people this chance. [ one thing does concern her, however. the council won't sit idly by and watch this happen, she learned that ten years ago, and as far as she's aware, they're still quite powerful. ] I must warn you, though, there are those among the Magius who will try to stop you. Have you been told about the Council?
no subject
But if she couldn't be part of it, at least he'll have to try for the two of them. It's his role to fulfill.
He assents when she warned him of the Council. They had tried to take out the Module out the world stage and he had turned the tables against them, anticipating their next course of action. They had overestimated themselves or underestimated him. ]
Tokishima Haruto shared with me everything you told him. [ A beat. ] I exposed the truth to the world. The Council has been defeated. [ He has no grudge or sadness for its destruction. It's their fault Lieselotte has been a prisoner, but he has never had a vengeful personality. ] I never did tell you that Cain was my instructor. [ He lowers his gaze and sighs deeply. From the little he was aware of the Council internal hierarchy, Cain seemed to be the only one capable of planning. ]
no subject
though she knows that, she still feels a bit sad. despite thinking her a traitor, despite having the power to remove all of her runes and kill her if they wanted, the council had allowed her to live. they really did want to protect their race, and they must have thought that what they were doing was the best way to go about that. if only she could have gotten them to understand her point of view, she thinks again, sighing softly to herself. but what's done is done, and she composes herself, not wishing to worry l-elf anymore. humanity was told the truth about the way their world was run, just as she had hoped would happen someday, and the council no longer stands in the way of peace between the two species. ]
That is good news. You've accomplished so much... it must have been a truly difficult fight. [ the council had so much influence over the world's leaders and media; she can only imagine what an uphill battle it was for him and the others who fought with him to get the facts out there. ] I'm glad you were successful.
[ she offers him a small smile, but it fades at the mention of cain, and she stiffens slightly though she tries to hide it. ] He was your—? [ that comes as a rather big surprise to her. though she knew both were in the military, she didn't know what kind of positions they held, and she would never have thought cain had been an instructor. this information unsettles her a bit; she has not known cain to be a kind man, and she can't see him being a kind teacher, either. she looks up at l-elf uncertainly, wondering what training under cain had been like for him. ] No, I didn't know that. [ she pauses. ] ... What did you think of him?
no subject
nonetheless, l-elf guesses lieselotte has mixed feelings and that's why he doesn't gloat or looks particularly happy. he did his job. he let others decide while he took his own choices. he places one of his hands on her shoulder to support her as she sighs. it must have been difficult to go against everything alone. he knows because he has done something similar when he was forced to change his plans after tokishima haruto jacked his body. ]
My fight lasted less than a day. [ there's no smugness in his voice. it's a fact the circumstances presented themselves ideal. centuries of control destroyed in a matter of hours l-elf was made aware of the situation. ] The repercussions would be more lasting...They remain to be seen where this path will take us as long as I live. [ he knows it'll be long and it won't be easy, he's ready for it. ] If you could take you away with me to help me, I imagine the burden will lessen.
[ and appreciate, sorrowful smile and sincerity for his longing. he assents to confirm her question. ] Colonel Cain Dressel was placed in charge of Karlstein Institute. [ he spares the unsavoury details of the renovations that he introduced to the former military boot camp where x-eins and h-neun had joined. he turned it into a death ground with 'kill' as the only hope of survival. ] He remains the only man I have ever resented. [ that is a big admission for him. he was willing to leave his teacher be if he hadn't crossed him. ] It isn't because he was a Magius, I hated him before I knew that.
