Well if it's any consolation, my mun's known yours for a little while. She tends to do a pretty good job as far as voice goes.

That is no problem, my concern is that she wastes my time with this futile exercise of power. There are currently 36 accounts saved in her logging manager plug in. The conclusion I'm led to is that she is indecisive about her characters and spreads her attention thin according to sporadic interest. I can't trust her lack of diligence. My planning will go to waste if I take into account her fickleness.

In my experience around here, most places tend to have time stop in our own worlds. I'd rather be home fighting Mavericks, but at least I'm not missing anything while my mun's sending me somewhere.

Regardless of the world I am situated, my goal will not change. I can establish it in the location I am sent to in that hypothetical scenario, but I refuse to elaborate a plan when this woman's interest can wane soon after I start.

Well there's only one way to find out, right?

[ he knows about the magius, about her. her eyes widen a bit at that, but it isn't too much of a shock — she had guessed that haruto would probably tell him. and he deserved to know, though she wishes that she had been able to tell him herself.

his next words come as much more of surprise, however, and she looks up at him with uncertainty. he still loves her, even knowing what she is? the thought fills her with warmth, but she tries to contain it and not to let it show on her face. it seems too good to be true, and that is why she must make sure. ]

But... [ lieselotte pauses and inhales deeply, looking down at her hands before continuing. first things first. ] I am sorry for not telling you, and also for misleading you. ... I was so very happy when you said you loved me, and to hear you say that you still feel that way brings me much joy. But are you sure?

[ as his words wash over her, her conversation with haruto springs to mind, and how he asked her not to give up on her relationship with l-elf, on l-elf's feelings for her. he was right, she thinks now, her expression easing as she looks up at the young man before her. even with everything she's just told him, he doesn't seem dissuaded at all. although she thinks that the magius's preying on humans (shattering their memories, stealing their life energy and, in the case of jacking, even their identity) is more cruel than anything he has done, she's grateful that he does not reject her.

his hands around hers may be capable of killing, but they are also a comfort to her, and when he starts to lace their fingers together she meets him halfway and holds tight. ] I would never laugh at you. Please, don't say you are unworthy of love. I— [ here she pauses, biting her lip gently, for a moment unsure of how to best express herself. this talk of love is still so foreign to her, but she pushes herself to speak all the same.

this was her last regret, something she only truly realized moments before her death. ] Though I admit that I do not fully understand this emotion... I have grown to care for you deeply. Your life is very precious to me, and I wish for you to be safe, always. As you said before, we have only met a few times, and our conversations have been brief, but they are my most cherished memories.

[ He doesn't allow himself to indulge in what if simulations often, not anymore after he found his new purpose, but sometimes... he considers the Magius Pino and Prue and what Jior could have offered to Lieselotte to ease her burden. He still lacks information, but he knows there was a path for her to live on if the circumstances had been different. If. Inwardly, he grunts in displeasure. He can't continue with that trail of thoughts, it helps no one; it merely builds false expectation in his heart.

[ as she sees him begin to smile, her own smile grows, changing into one of genuine happiness. it's strange how much lighter she feels all of a sudden now that she's been able to voice her feelings, but she supposes this must be another effect of love. it can inflict great pain, but it can also bring great joy; what a mysterious emotion. before she met him, she would have had trouble believing she could feel this way, and she laughs sheepishly when he voices his surprise. ]

[ as long as their muns are willing, at least. still, it's exciting to think that they can spend time together without soldiers coming after either of them, that for once they can have peaceful moments, just the two of them. ]

Was? [ then... as she puts the pieces together, sorrow spreads across her face. sorrow for haruto, who was still so young, but also for l-elf; realizing that he had to suffer not just her death but haruto's as well makes her heart ache. ] Oh, Michael. I'm so sorry.

[ The changes of her mood are easily discernible, L-Elf curses his lack of self-control in her presence. He miscalculated the attachment she could have with his late friend. Tact Evaluation Grade E, he chastises his loose tongue. He releases his lock on her hand and uses his left hand to reach for hers that is on his cheek.

He wants to comfort her, but he doesn't dare to pull her into an embrace yet. ]

Lieselotte... [ He shakes his head, wishing he could ease her sorrow and his. ] He died a hero's death and I will continue where he left of. [ His voice wavers, torn by pain. He tries to picture his smiling face that's at least a good last memory he has of his old friend. ] I will build a place we can share and coexist.

I see... he was 'the boy who fought the world' until the end, then. [ if only the people who dubbed him that could have known how accurate that moniker would end up being... it's tragic indeed. l-elf's sadness is what troubles her the most, however, and when she hears how his voice trembles she opens her mouth as if to say something, wanting to console him, though she doesn't know what to say.

what he says next gives her pause — he's talking about her dream for her race and humanity, her wish for the two species to find peace together. since he knew about her and the magius, it follows that he would know about that too, but she's still surprised to hear him mention it. her mind flashes back to their second meeting, the two of them huddled against an overturned car, surrounded by snow and fallen soldiers. ] You're going to create a path?

Yes, but he did not fight alone. [ He declares solemnly with an unreadable expression. Their pact...no, their promise has bounded them to that bitter outcome. He can't back from his word. He notices Lieselotte's distress and brings her hand closer to his lips, dare he... he vacillates until he finally plants a chaste kiss of gratitude.

She's so holy to him. She shines in a light that is not the Magius green glow. He assents, his resolve restored. ]

Yes, a haven. The Module is small, but it will be defended as the home of those who want to share it. It is no longer affiliated with JIOR.

[ It'll be a long, bloodied fight. ARUS already exterminated the Council of 101 but those who wishes for peace, like Prue and Pino, are welcome. ]

This will take long, but I will see it done.

[ his lips are soft against her hand, and though this gesture is new to her, she can sense the affection behind it, and it helps her to settle her thoughts. she never expected him to pick up her ambition, but it makes her happy that he's come to share her ideals. she hopes that he'll be able to succeed where she could not — he who was able to accept her as a magius and even love her; he more than anyone could surely create a bright future for both of their races. and though a part of her wishes she could have been there to see it, the path she wished to make being realized at last, ultimately it is enough to know that her dream is not hers alone anymore, that it lives on in him and the other residents of module 77. ]

I have faith in you. And I'm grateful that you're willing to give my people this chance. [ one thing does concern her, however. the council won't sit idly by and watch this happen, she learned that ten years ago, and as far as she's aware, they're still quite powerful. ] I must warn you, though, there are those among the Magius who will try to stop you. Have you been told about the Council?

[ he's flustered by his boldness, but he attempts to conceal it, drawing the hand away and giving it a light squeeze of assurance. There's a lot to be said but it can wait, she's here next to him. She won't vanish out of his reach in this crossroads of possibilities. His thoughts were similar to hers. Wishful thinking and the ardent longing for her and those who have perished for the sake of this peace to join them.

But if she couldn't be part of it, at least he'll have to try for the two of them. It's his role to fulfill.

He assents when she warned him of the Council. They had tried to take out the Module out the world stage and he had turned the tables against them, anticipating their next course of action. They had overestimated themselves or underestimated him. ]

[ though she should be relived to hear of the council's defeat, she finds herself having mixed feelings about it. now they can't lie to the world anymore or pose a threat to the country l-elf is creating, and without the council, the other magius may become more open to the idea of coexisting. but she can't help but wish things had turned out differently. she's probably being naive; she wasn't able to convince them before, and truthfully, she doubts she would have had much luck even if she had lived and appealed to them again. none of the members of the council had any wish to change their ways, and neither did they see a problem with their actions. in the end, removing them was most likely the only way to ensure a better future.

though she knows that, she still feels a bit sad. despite thinking her a traitor, despite having the power to remove all of her runes and kill her if they wanted, the council had allowed her to live. they really did want to protect their race, and they must have thought that what they were doing was the best way to go about that. if only she could have gotten them to understand her point of view, she thinks again, sighing softly to herself. but what's done is done, and she composes herself, not wishing to worry l-elf anymore. humanity was told the truth about the way their world was run, just as she had hoped would happen someday, and the council no longer stands in the way of peace between the two species. ]

That is good news. You've accomplished so much... it must have been a truly difficult fight. [ the council had so much influence over the world's leaders and media; she can only imagine what an uphill battle it was for him and the others who fought with him to get the facts out there. ] I'm glad you were successful.

[ she offers him a small smile, but it fades at the mention of cain, and she stiffens slightly though she tries to hide it. ] He was your—? [ that comes as a rather big surprise to her. though she knew both were in the military, she didn't know what kind of positions they held, and she would never have thought cain had been an instructor. this information unsettles her a bit; she has not known cain to be a kind man, and she can't see him being a kind teacher, either. she looks up at l-elf uncertainly, wondering what training under cain had been like for him. ] No, I didn't know that. [ she pauses. ] ... What did you think of him?

[ the council might have had their reasons to do what they did, but their actions had destroyed the lives of many innocent children. their slaughter was a mirror of the same thing they incited with their actions. there could have been ways open to dialogue that they burned with inciting the module 77 purge that day. he had not been ready to move on or he would have stopped them. it was a necessity they would have been removed from the stage of the new world. both humans and magius who formed it.

nonetheless, l-elf guesses lieselotte has mixed feelings and that's why he doesn't gloat or looks particularly happy. he did his job. he let others decide while he took his own choices. he places one of his hands on her shoulder to support her as she sighs. it must have been difficult to go against everything alone. he knows because he has done something similar when he was forced to change his plans after tokishima haruto jacked his body. ]

My fight lasted less than a day. [ there's no smugness in his voice. it's a fact the circumstances presented themselves ideal. centuries of control destroyed in a matter of hours l-elf was made aware of the situation. ] The repercussions would be more lasting...They remain to be seen where this path will take us as long as I live. [ he knows it'll be long and it won't be easy, he's ready for it. ] If you could take you away with me to help me, I imagine the burden will lessen.

[ and appreciate, sorrowful smile and sincerity for his longing. he assents to confirm her question. ] Colonel Cain Dressel was placed in charge of Karlstein Institute. [ he spares the unsavoury details of the renovations that he introduced to the former military boot camp where x-eins and h-neun had joined. he turned it into a death ground with 'kill' as the only hope of survival. ] He remains the only man I have ever resented. [ that is a big admission for him. he was willing to leave his teacher be if he hadn't crossed him. ] It isn't because he was a Magius, I hated him before I knew that.
